Instead of Gavin coming in with some stupid idea about getting Angel on zoning codes, maybe Sirq could've come in with ideas to pick off the Fang Gangers one by one, and Angel could've spent his time saving everyone from W&H? I mean, there was a generalized moratorium on killing Angel, for the time being, but imagine the fun of driving him to black rage (theoretically their goal) by murdering Gunn or Fred? Or Wes? Or ... Cordelia?
Hell, he did it to Dru. They could argue they're only taking a page from his own playbook. And of course Angel could save them just about all the time ...

Okay here's my ridiculous plot twist. D'Hoffryn is the person who originally gave the amulet to W &H, he was angrier about Anyanka's defection than he let on, and blamed it all on Buffy and Xander. He knew all about ''The First'' and wanted to lure Angel to Sunnydale so he would perish, and then Buffy in her grief would turn to Willow for comfort. Willow would in turn call on the black arts and get sucked back into her habit, then D'Hoffryn could finally recruit her, making up for the loss of Anyanka and Halfreck with a powerful Witch/Vengeance Demon. But of course that plan went awry when Buffy sent Angel packing. D'Hoffryn didn't think Spike's demise would be impetus enough to incur Willow's wrath [probably right on that point] So he sends the amulet to LA to stir up some trouble there. Why you ask? Because this guy doesn't really understand human nature as well as he thinks he does. He assumes that the first thing Spike will do is contact Buffy and then there would be this big Angel/Spike throwdown. He's betting on Spike, and hopes that Angel's death will finally put his recruitment plans in motion. But, alas Spike decides to stay out of Buffy's life. So D'Hoffryn turns his attention to Lindsey, he's aware of Lindsey's weird obsession and conflicted feelings for Angel. He recruits Lindsey to pretend to be Doyle and convince Spike to become the new Lone Avenger. Through Lindsey, D'Hoffryn meets The Eve, an Immortal. When Lindsey and Eve fail in there convoluted scheme to make Angel think that Spike is taking his place, D'Hoffryn is initially thwarted in his plans, but then comes back to rescue a grieving Eve from the crumbling W & H headquarters and whisks her away for her vengeance training, of course she isn't such a great replacement for Willow, but as a child of the Senior Partners he feels there is potential there. The continuing saga of The Eve, coming soon to the WB as a mid season replacement for the already doomed fall line up. Ridiculous ? You betcha!

So is that a compliment, that my ridiculous plot twist isn't ridiculous enough? Or is it just lame?

Actually it's pretty funny. I could almost see it working - almost.
Very entertaining read though.

Let the Angel writers smoke all the pot they want. Oh wait -- they already tried that in 2003.

I can't bring myself to watch the direct to video "sequel" though. Good on you. My sister rented it once and it slowly killed me inside. My Ridiculous Plot Twist:Xander watches Bring It On...Again and dies from the inside out. It isn't ridiculous that the movie killed him, just that he watched it.

So, Glory and Faith as cheerleaders? Hmmm, just caught it last night...it was...interesting...I've seen worse, I guess. And the male cheerleaders were somewhat amusing.
