Will is too good a friend.
Craig is so going to be the body (my guess).

Hey! It's the vamp from "City of". That was Russell Winters?
"No. No I'm not."
I knew there was something 'versatile about this show.
Need to check the writing credits on this one.

I can love you without an ounce of guilt.
Well, it's exactly the right age of philosophical.

I'm really enjoying the way this show is starting out.
Finally, something to watch on Thursday nights.
1986 is still fairly period. I haven't been watching details like Aaron's tv and, of course, the fashions and the styles on the extras.
I'm going to watch for things that are self-consciously 1980s, and things that seem necessitated by the times.
For instance ... haven't seen a lot of phones.
I ... really enjoy the Carla character.
I still hope she did it, and that Craig's the body. What a twist! that would all be.

Ah. Dead friend happens in 1987.
So Will's back in the mix.
"I guess you could say 1987 ... started out with a bang."
Highly satisfying introduction to these kids, this show and this storyline.
Oh ... all my bets are off for my guesses this episode. ;D

I haven't exactly been drawn in yet. The 80s stuff seems too obvious somehow. Like the difference in That 70s Show and That 80s Show.
In That 70s Show the clothing, decor, etc all accentuated the story. That 80s Show tried to create a story around all the extras.
I'm really starting to wonder about my TV attention span. I seem to get more bored with some of these shows than the rest of you.

Well, a big part of it is caring about these characters. I find a lot of resonance with Aaron, somehow.
Also, it's a matter of pacing. These people, imo, did an excellent job with the pilot, spinning some good storylines that are credibly going to have longterm consequences, but doing it in a way that didn't seem too forced. Sort of like a Troclan.
Also, I'm amazed that I can identify any of them by name at the end of one episode. From memory: Craig, Will, Aaron, Carla, Sam and Jenna. I'm frankly astonished.
Another excellent point was that someone on this writing staff is a big fan of the 'verse.
Also in its favor -- season arc storytelling. It looks like a good structure.
And the music is a wonderful part of this. It's exactly what I was listening to and at the time, I was only two years younger than these people. It's going to have some nice cultural nods once in a while.
And finally ...
... no one can hurt you like your best friends.
This show has the potential for some very great things.
It's not a judgment on you if you aren't especially moved by a pilot episode. It's possible that children and their various dramas aren't especially compelling for you, and that makes sense. Or maybe it's just not your bag. Me, I love murder mysteries, and I'm always wrong about whodunit, which is actually a big part of the fun for me. That twist at the end is all the more jarring.
Others, not so much.
I had fun watching it with you, Auntie.
Gotta go accomplish some things. Catch ya later. ;D

This show has potential. I liked the pilot episode. I liked Carla and Aaron the most. The good news is that lead in for this show is the O.C. which has roughly the same target audience as "Reunion." This show is much better than "Prison Break".
The writer/creator was the mind behind "Tru Calling".

Some of these shows with big story arcs don't seem to know how to end one and start another. Housewives at least answered some questions and created more for the next season.
Lost on the other hand just kept stringing you along.
I have to wonder if Reunion will be more like Lost or Housewives.
