I'll have to look into it more before I decide if I want to see it. I've been burned by movies before that had a ton of good actors in it. I have a the...well, a rule of thumb, I guess. Bad acting can ruin a good script, but great acting can't save a bad one. IMHO, of course.

I'm going to take some vacation time this afternoon to see: Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky BobbyI love Will Ferrell, and some crude and sexual humor, language, drug references and brief comic violence mixed with allot of NASCAR sounds good right about now. --- MSN MOVIE GUIDE: NASCAR Rules From Will Ferrell playing a racing champ in the blockbuster hit "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" to Pixar's talking "Cars," NASCAR was all the rage this summer — even in the blue states. And the former was definitely the season's funniest, if not sloppiest, comedy. When you have Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly (with that mustache), Gary Cole, Sacha Baron Cohen, Amy Adams, Molly Shannon and Andy Richter, who needs a script, a plot or silly stuff like cinematography? Pure comedy gold, "Ricky Bobby" indeed "pisses excellence."

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby 3 words: FUNNIEST DAMN MOVIE! Seriously you guys have to go see it. I just died laughing. There was almost never a time where I wasn't laughing. I dont want to give any of it away ... but it was must see. I got out a little early and I was waiting for Zach to get out of school. I fired up the lap top and got Py on Yahoo. He saw it last weekend! --- Previews for The Prestige looked amazing. I so want to see that one when it comes out. www.apple.com/trailers/touchstone/theprestige/

I dunno, Dez -- a friend of mine a few years back said he damn near wet himself watching "Anchorman" all six times he viewed it in the theater so based on that I purchased it without even renting it and yeah, it was funny, but never to the point bladder control was an issue.
Will Ferrell just strikes different viewers differently, I think.

Maybe just rent this.(?)
Anchorman was okay ... I just wouldn't buy it or jump up and down over it.

Well, I absolutely hated Anchorman, but I thought Talladega Nights was pretty funny.
