entitlement without merit.
that's a great way to make friends and influence people.
Sounds like those kids have a lot going against them and Robin (still a kid) might be begining to *try* and do things right.
They need someone to care enough to make it clear how they need to behave and that they'll wreck their lives before they begin if they don't.
I'm not sure how one would go about it.
(It'd be a teacher or counselor's task,really.)
Maybe slip them a book or small gift or something that points them in the right direction.
They are putting up a great front but I think they know all too well that they're missing something.
You and your friends shouldn't have to endure a lot of annoyance till they find it.

Your life brings you into contact with the most delightful people, Phoe.
I wanted to sing this over at the 'Fraud but the forum is having a hiccup, so I'll sing it here and then I can find it again when I can sing it over there.
I just kiloposted over there, after all, and therefore must sing.
DISEASE by matchbox twenty
Feels like you made a mistake You made somebody's heart break But now I have to let you go Yeah, I have to let you go
You left a stain On every one of my good days But I am stronger than you know I have to let you go
No one's ever turned you over No one's tried To ever let you down, Beautiful girl Bless your heart
I got a disease Deep inside me Makes me feel uneasy baby I can't live without you Tell me what I am supposed to do about it Keep your distance from it Don't pay no attention to me I got a disease
Feels like you're making a mess You're hell on wheels in a black dress You drove me to the fire And left me there to burn
Every little thing you do is tragic All my life, oh was magic Beautiful girl I can't breathe
I got a disease Deep inside me Makes me feel uneasy baby I can't live without you Tell me what I am supposed to do about it Keep your distance from it Don't pay no attention to me I got a disease I think that I'm sick But leave me be while my world is coming down on me You taste like honey, honey Tell me can I be your honey Be, be strong Keep telling myself it that won't take long till I'm free of my disease Yeah well free of my disease Free of my disease
I got a disease Deep inside me Makes me feel uneasy baby I can't live without you Tell me what I am supposed to do about it Keep your distance from it Don't pay no attention to me I got a disease
I think that I'm sick But leave me be while my world is coming down on me You taste like honey, honey Tell me can I be your honey Be, be strong Keep telling myself it that won't take long till I'm free of my disease Yeah well free of my disease Free of my disease
Thank you!

Interesting people,great songs,birthdays....
Would tickie like a puppy? maybe TWO puppies?
One of my medium sized dog neices left her 2 6 week old fluffballs here since they can't have more dogs where they're staying.
The runtlets are small enough to wriggle under the fence so they are helping me post.
(Say hello to the nice peoples.)

Remember the link to the trailer of Mosquito, a spoof, of Firefly I post earlier?
Well, here's the full spoof.
Mosquito (92 Mb)(WMV File)
The file's a bit large, but it's worth it IMHO.

I'd take the puppies, but my apartment building won't allow them.
I always get aggravated when I visit my parents. Everyone down there lets their dogs run free. You'll be driving on a 55mph road and a dog will just stroll out in front of you.

My hubby and the girls have been bugging me about getting a dog. I keep telling them that we are getting a baby not a dog. Maybe next year.

thanks! they are sweet. all people who take on a pet ought to take responsibility for food, water, shelter, health care, training and keeping them enclosed or on a lead at all times. critters do get loose but not even trying to keep them on their own property is irresponsible. tell the kids that a baby brother is good training for a dog. if they can handle feeding, bathing, changing diapers, child-proofing,etc. for him, then feeding, watering, housebreaking a puppy ought to be easy. It ain't all about cute n' cuddly. (it's about noisy and stinky, too. hehehehe) babies are neat people-whatever species they are.

Happy Birthday Tickie!!!!!
I feel worse than miserable, but at least I'm awake today. I went to bed at 5 p.m. yesterday. I was so very tired, never did start the next Harry Potter book.
I have a stupid sinus infection, brought on by the combination of spending the day outside Sunday (at my sister's BBQ) and missing a day of my allergy meds.
That and several people at work are sick. So now I'm all achy and sneezy and tired. It pretty much sucks.
I can still work circles around Jo-Jo at work though. ;D And that was even with me going 24 hours without eating. You feel that quite a bit more if you're at work than you do if you're at home.
Everyone at work was thanking me for hooking up the printer - they finally managed to get me off the floor to do it yesterday. You would think I did something really hard or something. Then Teresa made a comment about my college education finally getting some use. I told her I could have hooked up the new printer without the college degree.
I feel like Jayne being the Hero of Canton for no good reason. It's rather silly.
I really wish I wouldn't have told Tammy that I'd work tomorrow. I don't do weekends but she needed help this weekend and I had Monday off so I told her I would since it's a short shift.
Hopefully I'll feel less like passing out tomorrow. But since I'm actually awake right now and I did eat today it looks like I'll be in better shape than I was today. Or at least that's the theory anyway.
I'm bummed out that I missed the first ep of Reunion last night. I didn't realize it was on so I didn't set the dvr up to record it.
I did finally watch this weeks eps of Rescue Me and The Closer today. They were both freakin' brilliant. ;D
Hope everyone's having a great day, especially tickie since it's her birthday. ;D
The Season 1 Survivor thread is a prime example. Cokebeard and I are about equal now (I have been told to get off my high horse, and I'm just another random voice from the forum in there!)
I haven't been in there. I avoid all the game threads like the plague. I don't think there's any real reason to have those threads, they just artificially inflate post counts.
I've only got so much time so I just ignore the obviously nOOb threads.
