Um let me check...yes I do believe that I'm a girl
I've always been more comfortable hanging out with guys though. Girls can be such Drama Queens, plus they tend to think I'm scary because of my interests.
I don't see what's wrong with liking violent movies, video games, computers, horror novels, etc. It doesn't mean I'm like that in real life. People are so judgemental.
People used to always asume I was into drugs because of the things I was interested in, especially back in the 80's when I was into the heavy metal music. Just because I had the look didn't mean I did the drugs.
It's really nice to find some people who think I'm cool for liking the things I do
Oh, in answer to your question Feigy Pants no I haven't read the Beauty books by Anne Rice. I've thought about it but I've just never had the time.

MaxC - OK, you have a point!
My name's Dave, I'm 37 years old and live in Cambridgeshire in England.
I have an eclectic (i.e all over the place) taste in music, but I generally like guitar-based stuff - bands like The Pixies, Belly, The Stone Roses, etc. - And I play guitar myself.
I love watching (but not playing) sports - especially football (or soccer to you colonials! lol) and motor racing. I have a fondness for Baseball and American Football as well.
And even though I'm (supposedly) in the wrong age bracket to enjoy playing video games, I most certainly do - especially skateboarding games, for some reason.....
;D

[glow=purple,2,300]I thought that series was very good as well spk1903. It just goes to show, ANYONE can be into or know about ANTYTHING. which one was your favorite though? I think I liked the second book the best. But they were all good.[/glow]

I just re-read the first one recently and have to say it is my favorite. Although the Prince Alexi training runs a little long in my opinion. By the way, I saw your pix in the other thread and was surprised that you are blonde. I have NOTHING against blondes, I'm married to one, but in my mind you had dark brown hair. It has been so long since I have read the second book. It is in a foot locker under our very heavy tv. But third is on my night stand.

[glow=purple,2,300]I gotta say, the statue in the hallway was my favorite part in that first book. I suppose that might make me sadistic but ah well.
Just out of curiosity what made you think I had dark brown hair? If you could pin it down I'd appreciate it...I've heard that before when talking to people on the phone during my stint as a tech support agent for SBC DSL... Not to mention the fact that the one and only time I ever called a phone psychic (just for kix OF COURSE) she told me I had dark brown hair as well.
So, being a student of the human psyche and personality myself, I am curious to get more info about this. It just seems interesting to be mistaken for a brunette so often.[/glow]

I think it's got to do with the way you talk - you dont sound like a blonde.

When I found out what you did for a living, helping those that are in the greatest need, I thought now there is a real woman. Your profession has always interested me and when I read the book Prince of Tides the therapist in the book had black hair. Weird huh? Side note Barbara S. played her in the movie and although I liked the book, hated the movie because of the strong mental picture I had of her. Does that sound weird?

[glow=purple,2,300]No it doesn't sound wierd at all. I can't say off the top of my head at the moment, but I know I've felt that way myself. I read a lot and am more likely to have read the book before having seen the movie of something and the book is ALWAYS better for obvious reasons I'm sure. Sorry to disappoint your senses though. I am indeed a blonde no doubting that. matter of fact, I think in that pic I might actually have dyed it strawberry blonde in that picture making it even darker blonde. I have REALLY blonde hair. Who would have thunk I'm 1/2 Italian? You are the only person to give me a real answer to that question. Most have just said..."I can't put my finger on it" or some other evasive comment. So, thanks. Hey there X-Buffy.
Just to let you know, your prior antics in tvtome are even less tolerated here so it is important you know that I will not hesitate to ban you if you begin acting the way you did in the tv tome forums.
Otherwise, enjoy your stay and feel free to use this thread as it is meant and introduce yourself.
