That stinks, Husk, I would recommend that you hold your family hostage and force them to get the net, or just spend all your free time at the library on the net or hiding the occult books section.

You will DEFINITELY be missed! Can you use the connection at your old house or out in the world or might you get connected later on? I know how a move can disrupt things and our priorities in re establishing our lives aren't always what we might have assumed they would be. (Says she who's gone 2 years without resuming TV) Enjoy your new home AND your X Factor. I expect we'll be here when you get back. (leaves the [solar powered LED] light on for Husk.)

Evening all.
Just got done watching Serenity with my brother and his wife. They liked it, but they weren't exactly riveted. My sister in law fell asleep during part of it.
It was sweet watching it on their big gorram TV though. ;D

Hey guys, I got this nasty headache that I can't seem to get rid of. Heck, I tried extra strength Tylenol, and well it got worse. I might just sign off, watch a couple of episodes of Firefly just to soothe me a bit.

Drink fluids and if it gets worse or you develop other symptoms or if you've had an injury ,CALL A DOCTOR!!! Don't ignore it. If it's a plain headache (not sinus, migraine, injury, viral, etc.) 2 different meds (like aspirin and tylenol or ibuprofen and naproxen sodium) seem to work better (esp. with caffeine) than one by itself. Too much caffeine, theophylline, alcohol, etc. can cause headache as can lack of oxygen. Make sure you have fresh air, restful sleep and a healthy diet. Relaxing scents like cedar, citrus, mint, rose, etc. can help along with good music or other entertainment for diversion. Make sure your blood sugar's not too low (see healthy diet above). The main thing is,don't suffer unnnecessarily or blow something serious off as 'just a headache.' I worry about you guys...... Feel better soon and keep us posted.

I would do that but it involves too much work. As for the library, if I do have to go there it would be to work in peace. Years 11 and 12 here mean you basically have to work your butt off and the occult sections here aren't very big. It sucks.
As for X-Factor, I brought the first too issues since there are only 2. I can already see things that parallel to Angel.

Been pretty good actually. I've moved yet agaiin...I guess that makes 3 times in the past year...I've settled down nice and snug in PA pretty well.
It's kinda cold here but I'm built for the cold so I guess I'll deal. Plus I got someone to keep me warm so that's always good How u been?

You're a braver gal than I,hon.....
I'm glad you're doing well in your new home.
Pennsylvania's a neat place and you can't do better than the heating system *you've* employed!
(hums 'Got my Love to Keep me Warm')
It beats the heck out of chopping wood or hauling propane any day.
Things have been going pretty well.
It's been a bit slow online but I think that's been due to interference from the OTHER real life.
Personally, our big news was my middle brother getting the news that all traces of his cancer are gone.
It had disappeared from his liver and lymph nodes earlier but their was still a shadow on his pancreas.
Now all he has is scar tissue in the liver but it's giving him cirrhosis at the moment.
(Not a *terrible* case but some ascites have him complaining of looking pregnant.
No itching,nausea,confusion,etc. yet.
We're hoping for him to have a good attitude and prognosis with this as he did with his malignancy.
(He'd gotten a bit down when he thought the swelling might be a new tumor.)
I think we have these upheavals (good and bad) to keep us from getting too complacent.
We are forced to keep our senses honed and appreciate all we have in our lives at a given moment.
"The only consistency is change."
Enjoy your new adventures,Feigy!
(Try to get back more often,o.k.? We miss you!)
P.S.
How's your mom and all the folks in Dickson?

Good to hear about your brother. Best wishes on that score.
Mom is doing fine... she's been working the graveyard shift at Wal-Mart and hates it. But she's good nonetheless.
My Uncle ended up having to sell the B&B and restaraunt/bar in Nashville so he's back in Dickson area sulking and helping out my grandma. The rest of the brood are good. Aches n pains and kids growing up, the usual stuff really. I'll probably be heading that way sometime in the next couple months. We're gunna take a road trip back to OK to pick up the rest of my stuff so we figure TN will be a great stopping point in between.
Need to go see my brother's grave as well...both of them. Wow, anneversary of his death was 2 days ago. /sigh I can't believe it's been a year.
ANYWHO...This year is definately starting out much better. I hope everyone else is having it as good or even better ;D

My Mom died on the third of January in '98 so I know these anniversaries are rough.
The first ones are the hardest-especially if they occur around the first of the year or holidays.
Bleak winter weather probably has something to do with it,too.
As you indicated,it's gotta get better than that.
I'm betting on us having some good things that will outbliss our wildest dreams.
Remind your uncle that having to jettison his past in Nashville just frees him up for whatever new and better blessing is in the works.
His fans will still be there when he's ready-assuming he doesn't head in an entirely new direction.
Mary Bobo's place in Lynchburg had to close for renovation this year but they'll keep going in another location till fall.
They know that good food and hospitality are portable.
If he wants to,he can apply his talent in Dickson or anywhere else.
He can aid someone else if he's not ready to resume on his own.
Whatever halted his operation in the past didn't put an end to his talent or experience.
That can't be taken away or transferred to another party.
He's entitled to some sulky moments but fortunately,he has a wise and loving niece who can give him personal and professional type assistance in keeping the doldrums from getting out of hand.
(Now,if we could get him in one of the B&B's in Bedford County, we could hire grail to be our concierge,Cordy could manage the restaurant, tj could do dinner theatre, tickie could handle the legal.....
HECK! We could ALL run the place!!!
(Weeeelllll,it worked for Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye in 'Holiday Inn'.
Wouldn't Auntie make a great Vera-Ellen?)

I'll assist TJ with the entertainment.
Well, honey's home and the dogs are going nuts so I guess we're gunna go to visit Valley Forge today...never been and I hear it's all historical and some junk lol.
Take care and I'll pop in again soon.

Yeah, anniversaries of deaths are very difficult. It was four years ago yesterday that my grandmother has died, and it was very sudden. Even at her advanced age, she still was as active and witty as ever.
