I may be slow on the uptake, but are we doing anything for Serenity Now/Equality Now? They are showing Serenity in Franklin WI on 06/22. Its near Milwaukee and on a Thursday night. I wouldn't be able to make it during the week to watch it on the big screen and I doubt that any place locally will re-show it. www.cantstoptheserenity.com/

I may buy the PSP copy so Enzo can play it on his PSP. Also, I thought it would be a really cool idea for everyone to download Serenity Parts !& II from iTunes on June 23rd to really make some noise and raise the ranks of the show on iTunes download rankings. I know most of us have it on dvd but it's only $1.99 to download an ep and it may be more doable for people who can't afford another copy of the movie and have no Serenity viewings in their area.

Not a bad idea.
Can you download the eps if you don't have an iPod, just to artificially boost the ratings by, say, 1? ;D

You can put them on a video iPod though and take them with you which would be so cool if I had one.

I have a completely random question: We are having a garage sale this weekend and I have 2 computer monitors and a printer that I want to get rid off. Any ideas on what kind of pricing I should use? I want to get rid of the them but also don't want to "give" them away either. Any ideas/suggestions?

I wasn't imagining mine would be worth more than $200 for the entire setup, including the reasonably good monitor, but I doubted I'd actually get $200 for it, so I haven't tried selling it.
I'd want to comb through it very carefully, in that I think I still have some naughty IMs on it somewhere.

I've never sold computer parts at a yard sale but I have sold many of my old computers - except the ones I gave to Enzo.
I always priced them based on how old they were and what current prices were for a similar new product.
I usually sold the entire computer system for $100 to $200 depending on how outdated it was and who I was selling it to.
Since you're selling just the monitor and printer I would charge less - unless they're really high end.
Without knowing more about what type, the age, condition, etc. I can't really answer more fully though.

Maybe $50.
You can buy a brand new computer for $200 now. Not a great one but far better than the one you had. Of course that's not with a monitor but that really doesn't matter that much. You can still get way more bang for your buck even with that small amount of money.
Now you might be able to sell it to someone who doesn't know much about computers for that price but you'd really be screwing them over.

You're not wrong. It would need major overhauls for it to be worth that much -- and you can only upgrade the DOS so much.
The second gerbil inside is no longer a good selling point.

Your printer has Epstein-Barr? Nobody has Epstein-Barr anymore....
