Except for using it as a murder weapon, of course. I mean honestly, whose mind is really that warped that that's the first thing they think of?
Oh, wait.

Oh, wait.
Yeah, me and the NINE other people who were there at the time.
You were the ONLY one who was actually there that thought it would be a good idea to take it home.
I can't help it if we apparently have several other stalker types here that think having a pick axe would be cool.

* considers going out and just purchasing a pickaxe so as to have one around because they're cool *
I can't believe this is a poll.
And I can't believe practically everyone had the same instincts as me.
Practically everyone? When does 50 percent mean practically everyone. To be practically everyone, the number has to be around 75 percent or so.

On behalf on all the other stalker types ... Hey!
Besides, we prefer the term "undercover reconaissance" type.

I was going to point that out but I didn't want to be accused of being too snarky again.
But then I went with the whole stalker thing which is probably worse.

Sorry -- just going by the comments (which seem to indicate a stronger feeling on the matter than clicking a button), there seems to be a lot of support for taking it home.
Also, if you look at the actual poll, the strongest urge on this board is to take it. You can't count the "dreamers" because they take no action. They are pick-it-up/leave-it neutral. It's the nature of these polls you can only post one vote and they abstained -- or refused to comment, if you prefer.
So, in pick-it-up/leave it non-neutral positions, you're left with six votes to take it, one vote to take it and give it to me (seven to take) and one vote (yours) to leave it where it is. That is 88 percent take it, and -- for those of you doing the math at home -- practically everyone. ;D

Okay, I am seriously getting annoyed with this discussion. It was amusing, but today it's not.
Mostly because of the rampant PMS and the fact that Jo-Jo the happy Circus Boy is an incompetent idiot which has me in a bit of a mood.
So, I'm taking it out on you.
Anyway, for the record in the poll I started out with a sense of humor and voted for putting it through someone's skull. I'm thinking of putting it through yours if you don't shut-up already.
Jeez, you say a guy is insane one time and he'll never stop bothering you about it.
And also, there are 39 people registered on this forum. Only 6 of them agree with you - at least in spirit, if they had actually been in the exact situation they may not have touched the thing. Just because people haven't voted doesn't mean they don't have an opinion. It just means they may not have seen the poll.
And not everyone cares.
The only reason I do is one, you implied that I had murderous instincts just because I didn't think it was a good idea to touch something that was found on the sidewalk in the middle of downtown St. Louis - something that the other NINE people there totally agreed with.
Two, I'm a Taurus which makes me extremely stubborn and I won't shut-up about something if I think I'm right.
And the aforementioned I'm really cranky at that moment.
And considering you have a general idea of how overwhelmed with stress I am at the moment you would think you would have the decency to let sleeping dogs lie. This conversation had ended. Why did you have to start it up again?
Did I mention I had PMS and a really bad day all at the same time?

If it's any consolation, the weekends are here?

If it's any consolation, the weekends are here? I so need a weekend.
And I really hope Jo-Jo The Happy Circus boy doesn't work tomorrow.
I can't deal with his incompetence. It makes me really, really cranky.
He's the one that should be glad I don't have the pick axe.

Z'Rolf?
Get Charisma69 a nice,comfy spot,her favorite beverage and snack, a heat pad,some b-6 and evening primrose oil.
Oh,and tell the cute green dude we need some soothing music and maybe a little aromatherapy....
People with PMS deserve a sane world, antiprostaglandins and chocolate....
(Can we maybe get 2 out of 3?)

Oh, guess I was.
Sorry about that guys. Don't you just hate it when your head starts spinning around and you spit up pea soup?
Or does that only happen to me?
Oh yeah, and thanks for the hug. Very much needed that. ;D
