I was thinking that it would be fun to set up a game at the Fraud - but it will be no ordinary game. It will be a game with no rules.
"Huh?" - some poster.
Ah, but let me explain!
It's one big in-joke.
A fiendish concoction of imaginary rules will be alluded to, complete with references to clauses and sub-clauses. The whole point of the game will be to bamboozle forum members who are under the impression that the game has proper rules. And, of course, to simply have enormous fun playing the game.
I got the idea from a game called Mornington Crescent.
The game will be Jossverse based, with each player using a Jossverse character.
Here's how it could go:
And so on.....
We basically make it up as we go along. Anyone not aware of the fictitious nature of the game will be occasionally rebuked for not conforming to the rules. If they ask about the rules, make some up. But make them impossible to understand:
"The rules? Well, the whole point is to win the game by being the first player to get 1000 Whedon Points. You need to make sure all of your bases are loaded first, or the Window Rule comes into effect and you'll be relegated to the Worm Dimension as Clause 991 states.
Unless you're playing by Sunnydale Rules, of course."
And so on.
Those of us in the know will play as if we ARE conforming to the rules. Mostly.
;D
So - does anyone like the idea, or should I throw it in the dustbin of crappitude and never speak of it again?

ITL:
"Wesley moves to the Hyperion kitchens"
AUNTIE:
"Cordelia moves to the Hyperion foyer"
KEV:
"Sorry Auntie - you can only move there once per round, unless you invoke the Uncovered Elbow Clause"
AUNTIE:
"Ah, but I'm carrying the can of hairspray"
KEV:
"In that case, RULE 54 allows you to have one extra Hissy Fit - assuming that the hairspray can is yellow"
AUNTIE:
"Ummm...it's blue"
EVERYONE:
"INTERDIMENSIONAL DEMON ATTACK!"
AUNTIE:
"Oooh, I forgot about that! - Cordy attacks demon with hairspray!"
