Well keeping on the subject, my experience is 50/50.
My first husband, with Callie, he was more interested in working 80 hours a week and then going out to the bars, or having fun having parties at our house -- etc, than being a Dad or would be Dad.
And when he was home, before he took his job on the road -- he never got up in the middle of the night to help with Callie.
Where as Paul, was very sweet and loving and attentive. And when we have an amnio done at about 6 months and we knew we were having a boy -- whoah I got the full pampering treatment.
And Paul always gets up with the kids or give them baths. He is a very good father -- that was a major reason for marrying him when I had Callie who was only 2.5 years old.
So I think it just depends on the man. I would say not all men step up and feel effected to be a part in it. Some do, some dont.
I agree. I would actually say - based on the complaints from the women I work with and personal experience - that most men don't help or do those things at all. I hear way too much complaining at work from everyone I work with and it makes me glad I'm single - most of the time. Some sex would be good ... My ex wasn't especially helpful during my pregnancy or with my son when he was little. I'm the one that got up with him in the night, did all the doctor appointments alone, did all school functions alone, etc. I was a single parent long before I was a single parent. He did have moments of sweetness but they were very rare. I closed at McDonald's the night before I went into labor. I was still working full time until I gave birth. He did get cravings while I was pregnant though, which was pretty funny. We had to drive to St. Louis in the middle of the night to go to Duncan Donuts - for him.

The black tea ... & sugar cane .... It is a little more to the earthy side, than the sugar cane side. Jojoba Massage Oil is my first true love by C & E.

New drink alert; Arizona ~ Asia Plum Green Teawith Ginseng & honey, cold bottled energy drink. www.arizonabev.com/csr/prodtypeitem.asp?item=1605&cat=1This is a great little energy drink, really picks me right up. I have started shifting away from mid-day coffee to drink this -- It's a very light and refreshing to drink! This particular flavor, with the Green Tea/Plum, is of the most heavenly I have tried. And despite it is not diet it is still far lower calorie than soda, 70 cal for 8 oz. I recommend trying for a natural pick me up.

Thanks!!!
I've not tried the plum but I've used their other green teas.
They are exceptionally refreshing and even the stimulating ones don't leave you as jangled as cola, mountain dew, etc.
They flat out say they're not for diabetics and to check with one's doctor but I get to drink them like water because the honey doesn't seem to throw off my blood sugar.
I've stayed right in the middle while drinking them, neither getting shaky from low glucose levels or high from a sugar rush.
It's a diet drink that doesn't taste or act like a diet drink.
(Your mileage may vary.)

I do like a good tea.

Yes! Try one. I love the cold energy green tea blends. I just tried the one by Sobe "Green Tea" with a blend of ginseng, ginkgo, guarama and ecinacea. All natural and healthy. The cold green teas taste less like traditional iced tea. Less tea tasting IMO. If they are mixed with a flavoring such as the plum, you can hardly pick out the tea. Black tea is stronger to me. I didn't like the Black Tea blends as well. But they are very refreshing and light cold bottled beverages for summer. I really do love the green tea blends.

I stumbled onto an affordable option to drinking the Green Tea blends ....
In my grocery store I found Arizona Green Tea (with honey) in 1 gallon jugs (128 oz) for $3.20. Diet and Regular. Which is much cheaper considering the 20 oz bottles cost $1.30 each.
Then I change the flavor a little by adding either a small splash of 'orange juice', 'cranberry' or 'nectar'. My daughter like to add 'grape juice' -- just a smallish bit for variance of the taste. But I really like it without adding anything too.
