I loved the clip of Bush's speech they showed on The Daily Show. He said that we wouldn't have an all volunteer army. Someone in the audience had to remind him that his stance is actually the opposite.

I saw a program on TV earlier on about the neo-con right wing's influence on American politics over the last 30 or so years.......scary stuff.
And the same bunch of neo-cons are whispering in the ear of Monkey Boy Dubya, just like they did with Reagan........except now they actually believe the crap they talk about........

Bush quote of the day.
Taken from The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer April 2000
Bush: I talked to my little brother, Jeb-I haven't told this to many people, but he's the governor of-I shouldn't call him my little brother-my brother Jeb, the great governor of Texas.
Jim Lehrer: Florida
Bush: Florida. The state of Florida.

I find it interesting that the same people who are so insistant about the rights of unborn children are the ones who are completely disinterested in the child once it's born, and actively work to cut as much state support for those children as possible.
I guess we only care about human life while it's conceptual. Actual people can go screw themselves.

The odd thing is, I can kind of support the 'Actual people can go screw themselves' half of the policy

Bush, to reporters in South Carolina, 2-2-2000.
"The senator has got to understand if he's going to have-he can't have it both ways. He can't take the high horse and then claim the low road."

Jim Lehrer: Florida Bush: Florida. The state of Florida. I'd vote for Jeb without a doubt in my mind! He was recently asked if he'd run in the election come '08. He said he wouldn't, because he still gots lots to do for Florida, and that he's not about to worm his way out of his promises. That he'd consider running for President, AFTER he gives Florida what he promised them, that Florida was his main priority. If he ran for President...he'd be the only Bush to make America proud.

Haven't had a Bush do anything for us yet, I'm not about to vote for another one.
