What is it with me attracting weird guys? I mean really.
I mean there's Five Acres Guy who once offered me Five Acres and a Cow to Marry him. He's pretty harmless though, just really vulgar when he's drunk. I haven't seen him in awhile though since I rarely go to Sticks 'N Steins These days.
Then there's this guy my friends made me dance with one night at Outlaws. He was strange and clingy and acted like we were on a date.
When a guy has to spend ages trying to convince you that he's not some sort of creep then there's something wrong. I finally just lied to him and told him I was with one of my friends - who was a guy of course.
It was much better than being mean to him, though I guess lying was still pretty mean. I just wanted him to go away though.
Then this guy at work invited himself to my ornament party. I didn't think too much of it at the time because another guy is always inviting himself to things and it's just because he wants to be included. I figured Tony was the same way. He just wanted to be included.
Well, I was so very wrong.
He was the first to arrive, which didn't send off warning bells yet. I'm sometimes clueless about when people like me. He was actually going to arrive more than an hour early but he didn't know where I lived.
He saw all my Buffynalia so he started talking to me about Buffy, but I could tell from listening to him that he was only a casual fan and he'd never heard of Firefly.
When everyone arrived he sat right next to me on the couch. Someone volunteered him to read the story. See I was going to do it but I couldn't make it through the story last year without laughing.
We pass the ornaments around on the words "and" and "the". It's so fun but it gets confusing when you have to switch directions and it's so very funny.
My son was supposed to read it but I guess since there were so many people there he was kinda nervous about it.
Someone volunteered Tony for it. Big mistake. The guy is majorly incompetent at work and he couldn't manage to do the story right.
He wouldn't place emphasis on the "ands" and "thees" so people would know when to pass the ornaments. So I was basically reading over his shoulder to tell people when to pass them.
Finally I got annoyed and took the book away from him and finished the story. We had so much fun after that.
So, after everyone left their seats he stayed sitting right next to me on the couch. He didn't move over like any normal person would do when other people leave the couch. Most of them had left by this point so they weren't coming back to their seats.
That's when I thought, "Oh my God. I hope he didn't invite himself here because he likes me."
So I got up and moved. Heather, Michelle and I basically were talking with our backs to him so he got up and left.
But he left his muffin pan full of muffins at my house. I don't know if it was an accident or if he was hoping for an excuse to return.
I took the pan to work with me though so there went that idea if he had it.
Oh yeah, and at one point he asked if I wanted to go see the movie "Eragon". I told him I hadn't really thought about it and he looked disappointed. I didn't think much of it at the time since this was before he sat next to me on the couch and wouldn't get up.
So now at work he keeps singing my name. He walked past me one day singing my name over and over under his breath.
Then yesterday he was singing my name when I was putting his drawer in on counter.
I asked him why he was singing my name and he just giggled and said "I don't know."
I told him to stop and he just kinda laughed.
Today he was standing over on counter and I was running for drive thru. He was singing my name again but this time I didn't notice.
Betty did though. She asked him why he was singing my name.
I told him again to stop it.
It's really creeping me out. The guy is seriously strange. He talks to the nuggets for crying out loud.
Plus, I have never been more than barely civil to him. I don't like him at all. Body language alone should tell him that.
I'm pretty bitchy with him as a general rule because he gets on my nerves.
I don't get why guys like girls that are mean to them. He's not the first one to do that.
I just don't understand why you would like someone who obviously doesn't like you.
I mean who gets off on that kind of crap? And I seem to attract these guys for some reason. I just don't understand it.
I don't only attract this sort of guy, but I attract more than my fair share of them.
I'm now so uncomfortable around him now I can barely even manage to talk to him without snapping at him.
And of course everyone at work thinks it's funny - as well as creepy.
I'm just glad I'm off tomorrow so I don't have to put up with him.
