you have a high metabolism
plus you are young,lean and
have a fairly high percentage of muscle mass.
as you gain muscle,you increase your metabolism
further.
this makes you burn calories faster (including
what little fat you have.)
the pounds you lose are mostly water.
so for each pound of lean muscle you gain,you
lose (temporarily) about a pound and a half of fluid.
for your weight,you should drink a minimum of 64 fl. oz.
of water a day.
that's not counting what's in food,or beverages.
In hot weather,with you exerting,you should drink
about 80 oz. plus electrolyte drinks like Gatorade.
Juices are your friend.
they taste good,add nutrients and are a good way to sneak in calories.
Avoid caffeine (cola and coffee).
they'll make you hyper and they're diuretic.
a capful of quinine water will help ward off muscle cramps.
it tastes awful but it's better than leg wiggles and charley horses.
Don't overdo.
torn tissue takes forever to heal and will hold you back.
you should gain weight easier as you get older so practice
eating healthy now.
when you get done growing,all of a sudden,your body may decide
to switch gears and get fat if you hear a song about food.
(although your dr. may check your thyroid and adrenals,etc. to
make sure your metabolism,heart trouble,moods,etc. aren't part
of some illness.)
keep taking it slow and easy,graze on healthy snacks all you can
and keep a water bottle with you at all times.
if you sip a little along,you won't feel so waterlogged.
(yes,you can o.d. on water.)
the dairy in the pudding is good for you even if the
chocolate,sugar and fat aren't in your best interests.
see if your family will join you in your healthy diet and exercise.
a lot of your regime would be good for anyone and in the long run,
healthy living is cheaper and makes you feel better.
it's a good way to work off tension and bond with one another
if you work together on your goals.
(otherwise,it can get boring)
with nothing but good stuff in the fridge,no cigarettes or booze
around and some good music to exercise to (slow as well as feisty),
y'all can start seeing remarkable improvements right away.
your bodies may protest some as they throw off the toxins
that have built up in your tissues but once you get those purged
and get used to the new lifestyle, the old way of doing will
be a complete turn off.
