I clicked the link I posted and there's a little searching involved. Scroll down the main page that pops up. Under the caption "Swing Set" there is a "Voter Fraud" RealAudio file that is so tame even my old beater can link to it and not get me thrown off the internet. There's also a link to "eRiposte" which is a clearinghouse for instances of voter fraud reported nationwide.
Happy surfing.

The email sounds like it was directed at Republicans, right? If they sent it to you, TJ, assuming you were a GOP member, I wonder how many of the other 766,718 emails were misdirected. I have hope if this is the level of their quality control.

I am definitely voting, because I feel that this election is important. That is why I decided to drive home today, because I did not want the risk of my absentee ballot getting lost. I want my vote to count. So when the polls in my state open at 7 am, I will be there voting for the 8 offices up for grabs in my district. Then I have to stay at my polling place to do an assignment for my political journalism class.

It was definitely directed at Republicans. The only reason I'm on their list is because -- get this -- I e-mailed him in like 2000 to complain about something he'd said. I'm in their system.
At first I was horrified to be receiving their e-mails, and then I realized that this guy was a big enough jerk to be sending his strategy messages out even to people who clearly disagree with him. I've stayed on. It's been a nice side resource for opposition research.
I think the Rs in my district are insane, however -- they must've sent their Republican mailings to just everyone in the district, because I've gotten five things from the district office. Frankly, that's about $1.85 that's gone completely wasted for them, and I don't really care. If they're not careful enough to pare their mailings, it's not my responsibility to inform them that their resources would be better directed elsewhere.
c'golfa, I am extremely impressed with your resolve. That's more commitment than the vast majority of college-age voters show -- especially since you were so recently undecided. I was able to vote in my college district in college because ND law only requires 30-day residency and no voter registration (we do need to bring some I.D. with us to the polls this year -- not a problem), but other states put up a lot of hoops to jump through. Good job!

This thread had some interesting reads. Not exactly on my site of political stances but still interesting reads.
I would have never supported Kerry. Number 1 he is way too liberal and America has proven they don't want a liberal candidate. Maybe somebody more Conservative/Moderate. Number 2 I find it hard to support somebody that has the ability to anger his own fellow Vietnam veterans. Calling them barbarians and all sorts of derogatory crap and even throwing those special purple hearts he loves so much in to some kind of protest. I wouldn't dare support somebody like that. But obviously many would.
Also I don't support many of what Mr. Kerry supported. A lot of what he says sounds so terrific but as we know America has to have enough money to fund everything he says and I didn't particularly see that happening. Unless he goes and steals the Constitution and goes in search of the buried treasure the fore fathers put on the back of it or something.
I didn't support Gay marriage nor will I be supporting it in the future. Marriage is between a man and a woman and nothing else. Gays should be allowed something like civil unions but not marriage.
I am not to sure about this whole stem cell research. I will have to do some back reading to see what it involves. If it indeed kills a human embyro to save another then NO. If it does't kill a LIFE or anything that constitutes as a life then MAYBE.
As far as Iraq goes I believe we did a good thing to rid the world of an evil dictator. I really can't understand the ones who say leave him their he wasn't hurting anybody. Then I have to say "Isn't putting innocent women on ball fields and blowing their brains out hurting somebody." Then some says we shouldn't do anything until they make the first move. What is this a game of chess. I say do it before a move can be made and so you can call checkmate earlier. Then if somebody blows up something then people start wining and moaning "How come you didn't do something". Then when we do try to do something i hear "why did you do that". Can't please anybody.
