I don't think I've ever dreamt I was something else. That's really getting into a different perspective. Cool dream, Feigy!

I have loads of weird dreams. I once turned into a martian - yeah, I had wierd antenna things growing out of my head and I was green. I also got turned into a vampire, a zombie and an apparition. As for flying, I do it a lot. Usually when I'm trying to get away from something. Some people run in dreams - I fly. Not all my flight were successful though. Sometimes I end up doing this really high jumps instead. I get very high up in the air then I suddenly fall to the ground slowly but just enough so your stomach goes to your throat. Since I'm usually trying to get away from something, I do these high bouncing jumps instead. I also dreamt about dying. Strangely enough, these dreams always make me realise I'm dreaming. For example, I once dreamt I was deep underwater and I knew I was drowing. So I was waiting for death to happen but I just end up tapping my feet and looking at my watch.

....well, that's just too funny. Tapping your feet and looking at your watch hehe.
I used to have dreams where I would have to get running at a certain speed then I could jump and begin flying. I lil like an airplane but more like Mario in the video games when he had the little tail. It was pretty cool tho. Most of my flying dreams aren't me trying to escape something. But when they are it sucks. Most of my escape dreams usually intailed me wearing some crazy jeans that slowed me down from running...like I was wearing cordoroy bell bottoms or something. Those are really frustrating. Though I haven't had those in years.
I like the dreams where I'm something else. It's kind of exciting. Especially if I think no one recognizes me in my dream. But they usually do.

Okay, really weird dream just now. Kinda wigged out a bit. I'm not sure I'm going to make sense since I'm still half asleep but I don't want to go full on back to sleep yet.
It was another dream about the old house in Collinsville. And it had some of my sisters friends mixed in with it this time. Probably because we were all hanging out today.
We were telling Mary about the house. It was weird because as we were talking about it we were actually there - but not there. It was like we were on the holodeck or in a trippy hallucination. Like we got into the brownies or something.
We were talking about the house the way it was at first. I remember telling Mary about the stick tunnel and we were trying to explain where it was. We told her it was on the back side of the woods opposite the house and we tried showing her but she couldn't quite get it.
Then we realized she'd never been to the house then. I guess that was important in order for her to see it for some reason.
So we started wondering about if there was something wrong with the house now. Bad idea. I've never wondered about that in a dream ever. The house is always the old house in my dreams.
So the house changed to its current form pretty much right in front of us and we heard that nothing much happens to the house now.
We were nearly relieved until they said, except for the smoke. Suddenly we're trapped in a smoky room and we can hear a kid crying.
It was so freaky and very realistic. I think the kid died in a fire inside the house built on the old foundation.
The imagery was getting really intense in this part of my dream and I had to wake myself up. It was really wigging me out. It sucks that I can't really explain it better.
It just freaked me out enough that I had to turn on a light and type this out since I don't want to sleep right yet.
I can still hear that kid crying.

Try some lucid dreaming/daydreaming.
Maybe the kid got out o.k.
Maybe he passed out from lack of oxygen and never felt a thing.
Maybe he's crying because the fire's going to get his toys, comics, whatever but he and his loved ones are safe.
Maybe he's crying because his mom found out he was trying out smoking and after she saw everyone was safe, she decided to set his britches on fire with a switch from the kindling pile.
If you can alter the dream while awake or in twilight sleep, you might not be so disturbed.
Just having options can curtail the sense of powerlessness and foreboding.

Yes, what you think at the time alters the dream world that you are in. What you think is what will happen especially if you believe in it. By knowing this you can control your dreams easily since its all just a perception thing. Know that its daylight outside the house, it will be. Know that its nightime outside the house, it will become.
Not to freak you out more, but some people believe that some of the people you meet in a lucid dream are people who have passed on.

I normally remember my dreams well. Lately I've been having lots of them, but in the morning I forget most of what was in them.
I pretty much knew I'd have a weird dream last night after reading about Cordy's. I don't remember all the details, but it was very much like an action/adventure movie.
The villain was very much like Glory. ;D

I don't think I've had any Buffy dreams in years (used to have them all the time), but looking over my dream log, I did have a dream about Dracula a while back (and he was in the episode of Buffy, so it sort of counts).

Wow, it's been over a year since anyone has written about weird dreams here.
I've actually had a few that I wanted to tell you guys about but I'm usually sleeping at Brad's when I have one and he has no internet access. By the time I get home and have time to type it I've mostly forgotten the dream.
Not in this case. I had a very strange dream when I was taking a nap at Brad's on Sunday.
I've been having issues with a bad tooth since last Wednesday . . . well I've actually been supposed to go to an oral surgeon for over a year now and it's been bothering me off and on for the last six months but it flared back up again than.
Anyway, I spent most of the weekend in lots of pain. Saturday I took way too much medication trying to get the pain to stop so I was really tired on Sunday and needed a nap.
It was another end of the world type dream. We were living behind a bar in some huge warehouse type building in the middle of a large city. We were hiding out from something but I'm not sure what.
My son and I saw my sister sitting in a car outside the building so we went outside to talk to her. While we were talking we noticed everything started shaking like we were having an earthquake.
I looked up and saw a huge dinosaur walking through the city crushing buildings. We all thought, "Oh no, not again!"
Then we took off running into our building, through the bar and down the stairs.
I was actually showing my sister where we were staying as I ran past.
We ran down the stairs for a couple of floors then we were outside again running between buildings.
We were trying to get to this underground place that would be a safe haven to keep us from getting crushed.
To get there we had to climb up the side of this rundown building since there was no way to get in from the ground floor.
There were lots of people running to the building.
The building was hard to climb without someone to help you get up so I stopped part way up to help some people climb up. I was hoping that someone would take my spot after awhile so I could get in the building.
I had to let my son and my sister run in ahead of me.
When I finally got in the building you had to run down many floors to get underground.
Then I came to a room that was set up like a school assembly with lots of metal folding chairs set up in rows.
I saw my sister at the end of one of the rows. She was saving some seats for me. I saw that my son wasn't with her so I started walking in her direction to let her know I was there and that I had to find my son first.
She was at the far end of the row. As I was walking toward her I noticed and older lady sitting at the end of the row behind her. She was at the end closest to me.
The lady looked odd and then I noticed she was eating an arm. The lady had baby arms in her lap and she was eating them like they were chicken.
I went down the row to let my sister know what was going on and to tell her there was a zombie in the row behind her. I said we had to take care of her before she infected the others there.
I couldn't believe nobody around her noticed what she was doing - though it was a bit chaotic.
Then I went over to the lady and confronted her about eating the arms.
Several people around me finally noticed what was going on and came to help.
I tried stabbing the woman with a butter knife. I remember that I kept stabbing her in the chest but she wouldn't die. I kept thinking that I had to be hitting her heart soon.
Then the other people around me started stabbing her in the back with other utensils.
She still wasn't dying, but then I woke up.
That dream was really disturbing. It was upsetting seeing the woman eating the baby arms. It was also upsetting trying to kill someone in my dream.
I was really wigged out when I got up.
Then Brad was wigged out when I told him about my dream. He doesn't usually remember his dreams so he's not used to someone having such vivid dreams.
I'm not sure what was up with the stupid chairs set up like that. I mean were we going to have an assembly about the dinosaur issue or what?
I think the whole dinosaur thing probably came from seeing "Cloverfield" - though it's been a week or two since I saw it. I also don't really recommend it. It wasn't that great.
I really hope this post makes sense. I'm taking Vicodin for my toothache pain right now so my brain doesn't work the greatest at the moment.
I can't wait to get this thing out tomorrow.

I was thinking Cloverfield when you were describing the beginning.
That really is one strange dream.

I was thinking Cloverfield when you were describing the beginning. That really is one strange dream. Yeah, I don't know why we just didn't kill her brain.
Everyone knows you have to destroy the brain to kill a Zombie, not the heart.
I think I was mixing too many genres in that dream.

You must remove the head or destroy the brain!

Out takes from Cordy's next screenplay!
It'd take me forever to find all the imagery there-not counting your personal layers.
The defenceless being "unarmed",swallowed up by the apparently benign while no one notices...
The place of community,an institution,a place to get skills and resources...useless until one person acts and the rest follow suit.
The end of the world has become routine and you labor to get things accomplished to ward off trouble.
You're having to go in,out,up,down and you long to have someone else helping instead of just you. who's aiding you???
You keep putting others first.
You gain one loved one but lose track of another.
You can't get the world fixed until you deal with your own life.
The other people have to wise up and hold on themselves.
But there is a place of safety and ways of getting by-unless we start attacking our own or not seeing where all the threats are.
The biggest threat seems to be the normals who are dead inside and take out the most vulnerable.
They're scarier than the big obvious threat that won't crush you if you can just get out of his reach.
Don't burn out and know your monsters...
Works for me!

Wow, I'd forgotten about some of these dreams. I'm still having some bizzarre dreams. Wish I had time to keep a dream journal. I've had some cool ones lately that involved famous people. It would have been nice to share them with you.
