Whew. After giving me the strangest look, I started in on a quick aria from Die Flaedermaus and it soothed him right off to sleep.

Thank goodness because he is a bigger baby than I am when he doesn't get enough sleep.
Poor guy has been working 12 hour days. Nice paycheck but killer in this heat/humidity.

Well, I rubbed his tummy for a little while as well... that seemed to do the trick.

I am FOR SURE that he appreciated that. I would do it but then he wants something else and I am in NO MOOD for that. Plus now it might put me into labor.

Oh.... should I have taken care of 'that' while I was there?
I don't know... it seemed like it might be...intrusive at the time...

When I am sad, I like to horsewhip people.
It makes sense to me...

yikes!
whips,chains,ginger....
these should be reserved for humans exclusively.....
whipped cream,feathers,honey,ice....
these can be used on horses but only if they're past the age of consent.
(Be sure and check their teeth!)

I'm 35 weeks today. Only another 2 weeks and technically the little guy is full term.
I am a little sore today because some weed pulling lunatic possessed me yesterday. My back and hips feel like the Tin Man.
On a lighter note, my hubby bought me a half hour massage. I am wondering if I should use it now or wait til after the little man is here.

But seriously, I think you should wait til after bub is born, you'd enjoy it more.

you'll need it later but if you use it now you could hint to all the folks who might otherwise buy the eleventy-fifth fluffy bunny that what you and the little man could *really* use was another massage like Daddy bought.
The masseur/masseuse might even give y'all one of those baby massage classes.
(kids get tense and sore, too. think of being squished out into the world like you'd been et by a bulimic anaconda.)
They can help with colic,etc.
Massage,"Mommy &Me" exercises, storytime, etc. are all ways to get in some relaxation for yourself and still bond with your kids.
you have to put a 'necessary' label on something to justify it if it could remotely be considered fun.
keeping you healthy and happy is definitely necessary.
(passes you some low carb, additive free chocolate. {just for the stearic acid, of course. gotta keep that heart healthy.] )
