OK. Show of hands. How many thought this was a baby poll and how many thought it was going to be some sort of freaky game?
Since a backdoor was found to The Tome I thought I'd look up our predictions for spk's baby. It seems appropriate under speculation.

that would mean a caesarean was in order.
Cordelia Chase would still be with us if she hadn't insisted on natural childbirth.

Although that whole "being possessed" thing makes for one hell of a epidural.

Yeah, those sucked.
I didn't get an epidural when I was in labor. I was stupid and insisted on natural child birth. I don't know what I was thinking.
Actually it wouldn't have been that bad except I'd had no sleep for two days, and I had a ton of back labor. That really hurt. But the stitches thing at the end was the worst.
That's the only time I've ever had stitches too.

people ought to listen to their bodies and do whatever is best.
don't try to be a martyr or feel embarassed.
we had a woman do natural childbirth when no one was doing it.
no problems at all.
(she was going to use a midwife from 'the farm' in summertown but wound up delivering in the hospital just in case.)
that same weekend,we had to give a FATHER a shot for his back because he was having such spasms his wife swore he was having the back labor for her.
he looked greener than lorne.
childbirth ain't for sissies...

men have to save their energy for pushing the baby around on the vacuum cleaner at 4 a.m.
(good cure for colic)

Sorry to all that guessed a Cordy. The ultrasound tech is pretty darn sure its a boy. It looked like a boy part to me too.
I didn't go the natural route with my first. I did have a "pushing" epidural. No pain but could feel pressure to push. With my second she wanted to come out standing up so I had a c-section. I was awake for it but no sensation whatsoever. This time I am trying for a regular birth. That c-section sucked big time.

We are still on the hunt for names. We have it narrowed down to about 5 different ones. However I will not be announcing it until his birth. I figure something should still be a surprise!
