RENT this movie if you'd like a sweet, Southern,coming-of-age nostalgia flick. It's not bad-especially the part where the two ogres melt into putrid goo in the diner there at the end. (No,it's not a horror film but the air conditioning was off while they did our scenes. I'm the brunette matron and Jim's in the Madras plaid..) I hope y'all enjoy it!

Naw. We were just extras. I did get a mention in the end credits in the movie. (You know, the part where they thank the dolly grip's hairdresser's mother-in-law...) I think that was for letting the folks working on the roof of our apartment building climb into our bathroom through the window rather than go downstairs. You haven't lived until Faith Prince,Allison Janney,Autumn Resser,Jason Ritter, Keith Carradine ,Cheryl Hines,Beth Grant,Dale Dickey,Amy Landers,Derek Carter, Allison Mackie,Josh Holt, etc. have had access to your soap, towels and water. I may never hit the big time but I can see my 'castmates' and former neighbors on Army Wives,One Tree Hill,Enterprise,Buffy, the O.C. West Wing,Deadwood,House, The Class,Scrubs,Criminal Minds,Drive,Monk,Grey's Anatomy, and Campus Ladies among others. Sharing a make-up mirror and cosmetics with Mary Badham (of To kill a Mockinbird) was fun, too. This basking in reflected glory is good prep for when I get to brag about the greats I met online at the Tome,HtH (and maybe even the Fraud) when y'all were still passing for ordinary mortals. ;D Your intelligence and charisma can'tt hold you back forever, can it?

I'll have to remember to check that one out. Though I may have to wait till I'm actually alone - which pretty much never happens these days.
I'm not sure I can sell Brad on my son on the movie. Though telling my son that you're in it may sway him.
Brad doesn't get my whole online life thing - though he finds YouTube endlessly fascinating. Go figure.

You can wait till it shows up on ABC or Disney, etc. and skip the parts that aren't in the diner. We're sitting in the booth in front of Phantom Dennis' mother. Beth Grant is so not a bitca in real life. She sure knows how to act like every third dysfunctional matron I ever knew. Jim and I are in there so little our parts are subliminal-but it was fun and not a bad film if you like 'Spitfire Grill','Driving Miss Daisy','Because of Winn-Dixie','Crazy in Alabama' and most 'coming-of-age',teen soap-ish movies. Allison Janney and Keith Carradine ace their roles as a couple troubled by his alcoholism. It's a sweet,well-acted thoughtful film so watch it when you aren't looking for laughs, thrills, or lusty adventure. If Cam Watson had included the rest of the real life events behind what he put in his movie it would have been a bit more like a collaboration between John Waters and John Grisham.
