This thread is simple, what is your favorite all time band.
I think you all know what mine is. If you don't know, you must be living under a rock. For those who dont know, its U2.
There are a few reasons why I love U2, first of all the lyrics are awesome. Bono and The Edge are great writers. Also all the band member's strengths match ever. Then, add that they have been together as a band, and has still been together for 25 years and still kick bottom.

My current favorite band is The Killers. They totally kick @ss!
I like lots of other music as well. Gwen Stephani new song rocks. Muse is pretty cool.
I'm really enjoying U2's new song Vertigo.
The Beastie Boys have put out a killer album.
Green Day's song, American Idiot, is really cool.
I'm really enjoying music at the moment. There's a lot of good music out right now. ;D

Breaking news:
Most of the members of Guns-N'-Roses hate Axl Rose.
This weekend, Slash and Duff, sued Axl for control of the band's catalog.

I think Axl doesnt even like Axl.
Despite the fact that Axl is a Snyder[Jerk], is was a great musician, and GNR is an awesome band.
Love "November Rain", "Civil War", "Paitence", "Sweet Child o' Mine", "Paradise City", "Welcome to the Jungle". "I Used to Love Her", and "Mr. Brownstone"/

For me, TOm Waits was, is, and always will be The Man.
Billy Bragg is also a Man, however. A Socialist Sex Machine kind of man.

And Ani DiFranco will always be of course, The Ani DiFranco. She defies mere gender labels. She got spots, she got..... stripes too.

Here's me tooting my own horn (oooo, me back, me achin' back!) I got to hang out and drink beer with the Barenaked Ladies in 1993 when they came through MPLS and played at Riverplace. There were only about 60 people in the audience and they just hung out and drank with us afterward. Couple years later I had a smoke with Steve the lead singer whose last name I don't recall how to spell in the doorway of the FItzgerald theatre. (He did not recall the prior meeting relayed above
