Did you know each day of the week we're name after Gods, mostly Nordic.
Monday is named after Mani, the Norse God of the Moon.
Tuesday is named after Tyr, the Norse God of Warfare. He was also name Tiw
Wednesday is named after Odin, the God of Wisdom and War. He was also called Wotan or Woden
Thursday is named after Thor, the God of Thunder and Battle (the Norse sure did like to fight)
Friday is named after Frigg, The Goddess of Marriage and Matrimony. She also happens to be Odins Wife.
Saturday is named after Saturn, a Roman God. This is interesting because this is the only day not named after a God of Saxon origin
Sunday is named after Sunne, the Goddess of Sun.

Based on the latin roots, September should be the seventh month, October should be the eighth month, november the ninth, and december the tenth.
And in fact they were at one time until two months were added in the middle. (I think it was August and July, named for Ceasers Augustus and Julius, respectively, but I'm not entirely sure on that point.)

You're right about August but I'm not sure about July.

I know July was named after Julius Ceaser, I'm just not sure if it was one of the two late additions stuck in.
Amusingly enough, the month was renamed 'Thermidore' in France during the reign of terror when they were trying to wipe all the old mythology away.
