I don't care about math, I have it three days a week and I'm sick of it. Now what are the Mothman Prophecies about.

DG - Have you seen the film? It's actually about the experiences of a journalist who finds himself in Point Pleasant, WV (the main character is the author of the book, btw, which is a non-fiction account of his investigation). The film sensationalizes things a great deal, but is still eerily plausible. It has far more to do with prophecy and the nature of time than with the monster sightings (also really reported and documented), though they do enter into the story.
It's actually an excellent movie but don't go in expecting a monster flick. It's more cerebral than visceral and can be sort of slow-going at times. If you can handle that and like flims that require some thought, then there are worse ways to spend a couple hours.
If you can go into the film without knowing much about the real case, I think your enjoyment will be the greater for it. But that's just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

The movie is pretty well done. I didn't know any of the background before seeing the film and I enjoyed it.
Of course I find all of this stuff fascinating so that could have something to do with my enjoyment.

I see I have a bit of reading to do.
I'm starting to read that thing about Mothman, and outside my dog is scratching himself and its sounds like wings flapping. Its four in the afternoon and its scary.

I'm not saying it wasn't interesting. But a movie that includes 'moth-people' was the best 'based on a true story' example I could think of. I mean, moth people.
