I am not much for chatty. I do through my messengers normally.
You know I have even lost interest in my shows. I don't really watch them anymore. I use to sit down all day long and watch them nonstop never miss a repeat. But now, its the whole opposite. I still know about them but it isn't as detailed as it use to be.
Haven't had anything to do with this Firefly. I don't know who these characters are? I don't know anything about that movie either.
I guess that is the way it goes huh. I took my nap. I was going to watch a sitcom at 6:30 but I was too busy with the eye water and sleeping.
Can't do nothing right I don't guess. I need to think for a while.

I hope it's something short lived.
The one I was on, a long-time defense attorney had allegedly driven drunk. He'd kicked up all kinds of fuss about the field sobriety test, he tried to make out that the cops had ulterior motives in his weaving about. He was trying to pretend his 14-year-old son had been at the wheel (I've seen a lot of community theater and his son was easily the worst actor I'd ever seen anywhere -- well, there was this guy in Watford City a couple years ago who was entirely unacceptable, but at least I hadn't paid to see this guy's 14-year-old son). His friend with the alcoholic facial tic wasn't a great deal of help to his case.
I am almost certainly the personal reason that this guy served time -- all the other jurors were distracted by all the dust he was kicking up and going to go with "benefit of the (completely fabricated) doubt," etc. When we got to me, I was the first juror (seven jurors in) to say that man was guilty, and my reasoning carried the day in that room. So ... hooray!
Good luck with it, Cordy.
Oh, and ... you'd seemed more or less Cordy-shaped to me. Enjoy the Talking Slacks. ;D
I'll definitely enjoy the talking slacks. I have to dress up for court tomorrow so It's the perfect excuse to wear them. ;D
Oh, and you didn't notice if dropped several sizes of clothes? I have no idea how much weight I've lost but I went down quite a few sizes while I was sick.
I haven't lost weight since May that I know of - my waist size hasn't shrank since then anyway - but between March and when you saw me I went down quite a few sizes it's just I didn't notice it because I like wearing my pant baggy so I wasn't realizing that they were hanging off of me.
It's a rather dramatic change.
I hope I don't have to be there for too long tomorrow. It's just supposed to be jury orientation. I don't know how long that takes since I've never been called for jury duty.

So, how's everyone this evening? Are we feeling chatty? I keep missing out on the chatty times around here. And when I am here, I manage to grump up the place. I promise I'll be good this time
You don't grump up the place Feigy, we just occasionally have moments of non-chattiness.
We can't chat all the time. ;D
So, what kind of mischief would you like to get into? Meh, I'm not picky...but there was a hug going on in the Bible thread that seemed like it might get interesting lol. Jury duty eh? I have yet to be called for that. Do they send guys to your house to hand you a piece of paper for that? No? Well then I've definately never been requested for jury duty lol.
I was half kidding about the guy with the papers though...the other day my ex- roomies called to tell me some guy came round looking for me to give me something...but he didn't have any parcells with him...So I'm racking my brain trying to figure out why I, the most lawful person in the world, would be getting a court summons. Guess we'll never know since I didn't live there anymore and so couldn't serve the papers to my friends.

I didn't watch Firefly for a looong time Reb. It's just now coming back on tv (sci-fi channel on Fridays at 7eastern). But I downloaded the eppys and really got into it. I think you'd like it. So, perhaps if you havre the time you might catch them on the sci-fi channel.

Maybe you won a huge prize? I did join the group hug already in progress by the way.
Reb, you really should try watching Firefly. It's an excellent show that gets better everytime you watch it. I think you'll love it and it could take your mind off your problems.

Oh great, I won a prize that I can't get now, cause I moved and they were afraid to give the guy my new address for fear it was a process server. Waaaah my luck I won the publisher's clearinghouse or Readers Digest or some such huge money prize thingy.
I think you have to actually enter those things tho right? lol

Yeah, I think you do which is why I'll never win. I'd love to win the lottery but I never actually buy the tickets. I've had a couple of tickets at different points but I was too lazy to check the numbers so I could have just thrown away millions of dollars.
Wouldn't that suck? To find out you threw out a winning lottery ticket because you were so sure you'd never win that you never bothered to check?
It's like those codes in the Pepsi boxes this summer that you're supposed to check online to see if you win a prize. I just throw the boxes out without bothering to check. I may have thrown away a winning code - don't actually remember what the prizes are though.

My mum won a car once. Then she went and sold it and paid off all her bills, it was a bad idea. She could have sold the old car to pay off her bills but she didn't and now she regrets it.

Hey all, the gorram storms are finished.
Cordy, you have Jury duty on a Saturday...I have never heard of such a thing. I was actually called for jury duty, but I never got to sit through a trial, But waiting to have your name called is the boringest time ever. I sat in a room for like 6 hours. I got out because of an internship at school two summers ago. And the woman calling out the names to be a trial reminds me of Dr. Nazi from Grey's Anatomy.

I never heard of such a thing either, but the paper says August 6th and that's tomorrow so that's when it is.
At least I don't have to miss a day of work - at least so far anyway.
I wouldn't mind missing work except for the not getting paid part.
Anyway, Goodnight again. For real this time.
