I'm fine. I have a pretty bad headache though. I ran out of my allergy meds the other day so I missed my dose yesterday.
I had it today but my sinuses were already kicking my @ss so I was feeling pretty craptastic again today. My stomach was doing flip flops all day long - I'm guessing because of sinus drainage/stress.
Some of our new managers still can't get the hang of things at work and it gets tiresome having to take up their slack all the time.
At least B is gone of vacation for the week. ;D

I'm glad you guys were talking about the Daily Show last night. I was able to catch the repeat tonight at 7. Good stuff.
Cordy, the tone of the next Harry Potter book is totally different. To me it felt like a series of set ups for the final book. Good, but it leaves a lot of answers waiting for the next book.
And the wait for the next book is going to suck. I'm getting so into these books and I'm about to start on the last one.
It's going to kill me to wait for the next one.

It's going to drive you even crazier after you read the next book. You'll want to track down JK Rowling and demand to know what happens next.
From an episode of The Simpsons where they go to England and Lisa meets JK Rowling.
Lisa: Can you tell me how it ends? JK Rowling: * exasperated * Fine. He grows up and marries you. Are you happy? Lisa: * sighs contentedly * Yes.

It can't be any worse than trying to get to the end of the Dark Tower books, can it?
I mean it took Stephen King decades to finish those off, and he nearly died before he was done.
They better have a hell of a protection spell on JK Rowling so she can finish them.

Time for a song. And since this band is in Philly tonite, I'm going to do a song of theirs.
Don't wanna be an American idiot. Don't want a nation under the new media. And can you hear the sound of hysteria? The subliminal mindf**k America.
Welcome to a new kind of tension. All across the alien nation. Everything isn't meant to be okay. Television dreams of tomorrow. We're not the ones who're meant to follow. Well that's enough to argue.
Well maybe I'm the f*g**t America. I'm not a part of a redneck agenda. Now everybody do the propaganda. And sing along in the age of paranoia.
Welcome to a new kind of tension. All across the alien nation. Everything isn't meant to be okay. Television dreams of tomorrow. We're not the ones who're meant to follow. Well that's enough to argue.
Don't wanna be an American idiot. One nation controlled by the media. Information nation of hysteria. It's going out to idiot America.
Welcome to a new kind of tension. All across the alien nation. Everything isn't meant to be okay. Television dreams of tomorrow. We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
And speaking of concerts, I will be going to the Weezer/Foo Fighters concert in Philly on Oct. 13.

Hey, guys! Sorry for the lurkage. Work was a harsh mistress this morning.
I hope the next book isn't going to be especially depressing.
Umm, Cordy, you might want to sit down for this ....

Heh, that's nothing on a series I'm following; The Wheel of Time. It's up to book 11 now, and the Author's around 70+ years old. And he doesn't know when he's going to end it. He always says 2 or 3 more.
I really hope he doesn't bite it before he finished them.
Wow, that sounds incredibly selfish, doesn't it?

Just a bit selfish, Nick.

Well, then, I hope he only passes away when he feels like it (which should be after he completes the series)

I had been waiting for Douglas Adams to write another Hitchhiker's book, but he up and left us.

Even if Adams was stil with us, I wouldn't be holding out too much hope for anothe Hitchhiker's book - the last two were below par IMO (although still better than most authors could manage), and he seemed quite jaded with the whole thing at times.

They were extraordinarily fun books.
