Things are just peachy. I'm about to go on a job interview. It's for the Health Department as a Psychological Clinician. I understand from one of my Psychiatrist friends it's a good place to start....plus, state job gotta like the stability of that...if not the pay. It won't be as much as I should be getting. But once I'm in, I can go anywhere from there.
So, I'm a bit nervous, but I think that will work itself out when I stop drinking coffee and get the interview over with.
How are you my elloquent friend?

Things are OK. I'm having some usual Thursday busyness, and trying to catch up on some conversations in other Fraud threads besides the ... well, it seems to be stemming tide of n00bery in the Angel.Fraud. Bright points over there have been Grail and Auntie sightings, which is joyous, along with q's usual brilliance and a new installment of conversation-starters in the Geek Club thread.
* skips over a bit of unpleasantness *
Good luck with the interview! I knew it wouldn't take forever. And if this one doesn't work out there's all sorts of crazy people all across the country, so it seems like there's work to be had.
* crosses fingers, legs and eyes for Feigy's good fortune *
Hi, Kev! How're things with you?

Afternoon my freaky darlings.
Works getting me busy again.
BUT, I heard the greatest song on the radio on the way home last night. Very catchy riff I'd never heard it, but apparently it's from 2002 and the band goes back to 1996
Hmm. I AM out of the loop.
AN-yway.
Here I present to you, Psychopharmacology, by Firewater This one goes out to Feigy, with love
When the little things are tearing you apart They should have warned you This is how it starts An answering machine that only speaks the truth The inclination climb upon the roof The endless shrink parade The nights that never cease And all you want is peace But all you get is pills And still they tell you
Psychopharmacology is gonna be your friend When you can't get out of bed and you're so tired of pretending Psychopharmacology is gonna save your soul 'Cause God is great and God is good but he's also made of wood Believe in psychopharmacology
Tonight terrorize your friends They should have warned you This is how it ends But the thing you can't accept Is this is all you get You just want a second chance But all you get is pills And still they tell you
Psychopharmacology is gonna set you straight When you're forgetting all your lines And you can't buy your own disguises Psychopharmacology will break that thorny crown Before you take that ? down Before you load another round Remember psychopharmacology will turn your life around
Psychopharmacology is gonna be your friend When you can't get out of bed And you're so tired of pretending Psychopharmacology is gonna save your soul 'Cause God is great and God is good but he's also made of wood Psychopharmacology...

* lighter * Freeqin' brilliant song, Py.
There are renewed demands for your presence on the 'Fraud to make it livable and banish the n00bery.
Just in general, your insights and surpassing sensibilities about many, many things are sadly lacking in your absence.
Hope your day is going well, and Z'Rolf! Get Kev a beer and Py a Seabreeze!
* sip * Things continue here apace. I'll try to check in later. Have a most excellent day. ;D

I happened to stumble into the n00b dimension thread because grail happened to post in it last.
I'll say it again. The n00bs at The Fraud have no fear. We need to rectify that situation.
I think we've been holding back our usual n00b barbs and it has us sniping at each other.
We had a similar problem once at The Tome, but we faced it head on and had n00bs crying their eyes out! We got The Tome back into fighting shape. So what happened? They shut it down!
Er. Maybe that's a bad example.

Well, I agree that we ought to be presenting a united front.
Py's concept at the time -- that we use the Angel'Tome to talk about "Angel," specifically about "Angel" and forcefully about "Angel" and all things "Angel" (we did indeed notice a theme developing) was freeqin' brilliant, and it could conceivably work again.
Lashing out at one another is not going to necessarily get us anywhere.
The Season 1 Survivor thread is a prime example. Cokebeard and I are about equal now (I have been told to get off my high horse, and I'm just another random voice from the forum in there!)
In a forum where the reality-program-hating Magnificient Beyotches and Bastages are in charge, this would simply not be the case. We'd have killed that thread on Page 1 (it now has about 50 posts).
Reading back through that thread, my objections sound like petty snipery and resolve in some lame difference of opinion (in case anyone was looking for a specific example about what was getting me so frustrated yesterday, that one is Exhibit A).
The establishment of the Geek Club has not scattered nearly so many n00bs as it was meant to -- Nick's participation absolutely enjoyed and appreciated and encouraged, of course -- and please, as many others who can chime in please do so.
So by all means, truce if it's needed, but starting next week, maybe (or earlier if anyone wants to try to take it on this weekend) if we need to snipe at one another let's do it in here (in Offend-O-Rama, perhaps) but over on the Fraud, set phasers on "raise the general tenor of the conversation".
Or am I completely out of line? I can't tell anymore.

I took one look at the title, and I haven't even bothered to read the whole thing.
I guess I'm just prone to ignoring things I don't like and too non-confrontational, which might account for the lack of support on my side. I need to learn to be meaner.

I had been ignoring it as well.
Mr Nasty would be a big help with the n00bs. He has such a great knack for tactless n00b attacks. ;D

Work is getting a bit hectic here today, so don't be surprised if I don't post as much today.
Sorry, but one's gotta eat.
