your part of north dakota doen't have women.
but if you ever meet any cute single gals with exceptional insight, they will join your fan club so fast, it'll give you whiplash.
as sure as Monk has wetwipes, as sure as Angel uses sunscreen. as sure as Brenda has kittens.
this is true......

poor darlin'.... where's Cordy? she's usually good for the witty battery.... and Auntie.... tj's quiet too.
*blushing* Thanks q'cat. It's nice to know I was missed. ;D
I was watching the last of the eps of The 4400 that I missed. I rented the first season on DVD last week and I like it. I was hoping to watch all of the aired eps of season 2 over the weekend but somehow the DVR didn't tape a couple of the eps so I had to borrow the tape from Celeste.
Enzo and I finished watching them last night so we're all caught up now. He's gotten really into the show though he does seem to notice when they recycle a plot line or something - which is so cool. My son is a smart television viewer. None of that reality crap for him.
I was also really tired last night so I went to bed early.

Yes, spending time with my son is important. Especially while he still wants to. That may not last too much longer since he's a teenager now.
You know how they can get.
My son often surprises me with his ability to think on his feet - which really shouldn't be so surprising since he's always been like that but he always seems to get smarter by leaps and bounds.
Of course then there's the dumb stuff like catching the garage on fire but he is a kid and they do screw up.
I'm happy I got some rest, just wish I actually felt like I got some rest. I've been really tired the last couple of weeks and I've been getting sleep.
My allergies are really acting up though so I guess they're making me all draggy.
I'm actually not burning the candle at both ends right now. I only stay up late on nights I don't have to be up early. I need my sleep - I try not to get less than 8 hours a night. I don't function so well without sleep.
Okay, enough about that. I heard a funny story on the radio today - or a potentially gross story I suppose. The D.J. was talking to another guy about someone leaving a used maxi-pad on the back of the toilet bowl tank in the bathroom. Then he made a joke about leaving preparation H suppositories on the back of the toilet bowl as a comparison for how gross that was.
Anyway, then he started talking about something called tampooning. Apparently it's a game he used to play with his friends when he was a kid.
You take a tampon and soak it in water - until it expands. Then you throw it up on your ceiling with the string hanging down. The game is to see who's tampon will stay stuck to the ceiling the longest.
You can used food coloring in the water so you can tell whose is whose.
That story made me think of the whole tampon Haiku incident and I thought I'd share this gross but funny story with you.
So, do all boys play weird games like this? The guy said it was a good way to entertain kids so they don't do drugs. I think it's a good way to piss off your Mom (or possibly your sister) because not only did you waste her tampons, but you messed up the house as well.

Presumably frathouse antics in a frathouse won't deplete anyone's supply.
I imagine there's sneaky bastages who learn early on the relative benefits of heavy day vs. light day vs. regular day.
* now picturing with wings *
Hey Cordy. ;D
Z'Rolf! Get Cordy a Cordyal, ice cold for the day she's having.
* sip * How do you be?

Cordy I am insisting you watch Battlestar Galactica, trust me, us Whedon fans will really appreciate the classic science fiction feel and the intense drams. Albeit a little lacking in the humor but they get off a good one every now and then.

He talked like he was much younger when this happened, but I guess frat boys could do it to.
You do realize that wings are for maxi-pads and not tampons, right?
Thanks for the drink ;D, I very much need it. Very much need it.
*sip*
Um, other than a semi-crappy day at work I'm doing good.

bitterman said I should check the show out - but when he was telling me about it school was still going on so I didn't have the time for it.
And I hate to start a show in the middle. I need to rent the first season so I can play catchup - of course then I'll have to hope for a season 2 'thon so I can see what I've missed so far.
I did see one ep awhile back and it seemed pretty good.

Friday nights are becoming a night to stay home and watch television, aren't they? ;D It's a bit strange, there's a very love/hate relationship people have with this show. Either they're fanatics or they religiously avoid it. And SciFi's crazy schedule doesn't help either, they'll be airing half the season until September then air the rest in January.
