well, I'm gunna try to catch the show and see if I like it. But like Cordy, I have a hard time watching something if I catch it in the middle.
Anyway, I guess I'm gunna go now...I may be back later tonight. For now, I'm feeling kinda blah and don't want to spread it around
Have fun guys

See you later Feigy.
Hope you feel better soon. ;D
I'm a bit happier. I just realized that the Bored Diva name was so not my fault.
tj actually inadvertently gave himself the name.
Oh, and you can actually read the old tome using that link - can't post though.
Or at least you can right now. Don't know how long it will last though.

Back on the subject of Nathan's experience with Warp 1 Comics.
The owner of the store where Nathan's Mom managed to find a copy of the comic had this posted for him on the Browncoats site:
He's now a Browncoat. Is that cool or what? Sounds like a nice man too. I'm kinda sad that I don't live in Canada. I'd like to purchase something from his shop in thanks.

I am having one craptastic day. It started out OK. My boss had mentioned that she would like to borrow my Firefly DVDs so I brought them in this morning. A co worker saw her with them and practically pounced on her asking where she got the DVDs. I might have to set up a rental system for people to borrow them now. You'd think my karma would be good today for my kind deed, but no. I went out to my car at lunch and it had a large puddle of antifreeze under it. I looked under the car and I could see a substantial drip. Fortunately several people offered to follow me to a repair place and to give me a ride to work tomorrow. I took my car in expecting the problem to be a simple hose replacement. They want to replace the heating core and water pump for a total of $700. OK, just let me find my other wallet where I stash my 100 dollar bills. They couldn't repair it tonight anyway, so I'm looking to get a second opinion from my brother this weekend. Other than that everything is peachy.

Hey all. I think my boss is officially converted to be a Firefly Fan. He really enjoyed War Stories. Also I couldnt find a place that had a Gorram Serenity Comic.
So how is everyone?

I'm doing good. Nice converting Auntie.
I loaned out my dvds to my friend Christy over the weekend. She won't give them back - she has to finish watching the show.
She's hooked as is her friends Beth and Robert.
I'm sorry to hear about you car though. I know how much that sucks. I'm having to spend far too much money on the dentist myself.
I need two fillings, plus I'd neglected my teeth so long because of lack of insurance that I need a second cleaning.
My teeth already look so much better though. It sucks to spend the money but I don't really want to loose my teeth.
I'm going to have to go to an oral surgeon to get that one bad tooth removed though. I'm hoping I can put that off until tax refund time. I so don't want to spend the money on that right now.

*ouch*
Sounds pretty bad, Auntie.
I empathize with you, there's not a month that goes by without something needing fixed in my car. Gar, I should've gotten a jetpack instead.

You see this county has land that costs more than what most make anytime. Georgia really isn't the best state to settle in. career-wise. I'd move to Georgia in a heartbeat, to be close to my family, if there were great jobs in that state...no sign of that happening anytime soon. Like you said, the land costs a lot, including the houses. And no well paying jobs are really available.

I own my house and I work at McDonald's so it can be done on a low salary.
You just have to work a bit harder is all. That and pray that nothing happens because you don't really have enough money to stick money back.
I own my own house, and my car is paid off though. I'd say I'm doing fairly well considering the circumstances.
And now for something completely different ...
I just ordered the Firefly dvds for my Dad. His birthday is this Monday and there's no new M*A*S*H seasons coming out so I figured I'd take this opportunity to make him a Browncoat.
He did like Buffy - though he quit watching it around Season 3 - so I'm sure he'll love Firefly.
Hopefully he has time to watch it before I see him next so we can discuss it. Maybe that'll finally get my sister's to watch the show.

Huh?
In other news, I emailed the Happy Harbor comic store guy to let him know I liked his post on the Browncoats board and to welcome him to the fandom.
He actually emailed me back - and he was so very pleasant. He just finished watching the last ep and he can't wait for Serenity to come out.
Shiny. ;D
Also, his business is booming since he was so nice to Nathan's Mom. He's enjoying the unexpected success while it lasts.
It's so nice when people actually have something good come out of something bad.
Darryl could learn alot from him. I so hope he realizes what a boost Jay got from this and learns a lesson about treating customers like crap.
You never know when it might come back to bite you in the @ss.
And on that note I'm off to bed. Another gorram early day at work tomorrow.
Goodnight everyone.
