You did, you did.
I was up early for a Conference Call for another job possibility. It is part of a new news organization called USAVoice.org. It looks promising, but it's new, and my income is generated by the revenue this company makes. It is a web-based medium, which means all my articles will be available online. I will make 14 cents for every hit on my article, so the more hits I have on an article, the more money I make. I also will need my own dedicated phone line for this.
So how is everyone?

Things are good, Kev, and good luck! It feels like for something like that they'd limit it to hits from different IP addresses because otherwise you could make thousands of dollars a week just sitting in your basement, but I'm sure it makes sense to someone.
If you post something I'll click on it from here and from home.
Ca-CHING!
That's a good idea, dez. I think initially I just wanted to get the thing posted, but I think I'll make a separate blog that I can update regularly that's just people's viddylinks. Everyone can talk about them and stuff in the blog but if anyone posts a link I'll make it a clicky.
From home, tho. It's a lot of ad-loading and refreshing time at this dinky machine here.
Hope everyone's days are good ones. ;D

Amazon.com is such a tease. I was eligible for the free 7-10 days shipping on my Season 2 of Angel. So I was not expecting to be able to join in on the 'thon this weekend but next. I got home from work yesterday and THERE IT WAS!! I did a little happy dance! So I am hoping that dinner tonight at the in-laws doesn't run real late so that I can use tonight and tomorrow to catch up to you guys.
I cleaned my boss's desk yesterday. I turned about a foot of paperwork into an inch of actual "this needs to be done" work.

Callie goes back next week Wednesday. And Zach has open house next Thursday and then starts the following Monday. So our summer is already over! But our kids get out in the beginning of May, so it all evens out in the end. Actually both kids are really excited to start school. Zach is running around saying "Im going to Lexington Christmas Academy", which he means to say; Lexington Christian Academy, he's close. And he has the teacher and all the kids names memorized. (We got a sheet with the names mailed to us). I'm personally happy. I will get far more work done when they go to school. Especially the little guy. He's fun but it's getting really hard this summer to keep caught up. HURRAY FOR SCHOOL!

* eagerly anticipates reviews *
Today has been going incredibly well for me. My artwork for my feature came in at 12:46 p.m. so I didn't have to try to come up with a different lead story for tomorrow. That and my Friday page pieces for the next two weeks are done or at least started and I've got artwork for one of them, so that's very relaxing.
I told my writer to consider Monday a hard deadline. Yes, I know, I minght not actually get to read it until late Monday afternoon, but I will read it, and if he needs to track anything down in it won't be at the very last minute (for both of us).
That and they sold a HUGE ad for the back of my outdoors section so I've mostly only got one feature page to build tomorrow for Sunday. ;D
And I'm getting some work done ahead of time so tomorrow should be good, and Keebler sent a box of those new snack crackers that have the ridges around them so the dip doesn't slide off. We're not going to write a word about them, but the crackers are going over big. As my assistant said, "FREE SNACKS!"
How's that gonna be bad?
Yes, all in all, a most wonderful day.

Morning all -- No Joss viewage again, we had power failure from 5:30p.m. - 1:30 a.m. last night. I was going to watch on the lap top because I had a good battery charged up but then I decided that would suck viewing on that monitor so I just said fook that. I am SO wishing this weekend will align perfectly to allow such a luxury experience. . Got lots of work again ... got up way early again, so I have to git jiggy wit it now --

We had no outage but the net went screwy.
Nothing I posted went through.
(You didn't miss much. Basically it was congrats on the good stuff and have a great weekend plus a kindergarten smilie that's vanished into the void.)
We turned everything off after that and, a bit later ,we alternated between thunder with no light flashes and lightning with no sound effects.
The amount of rain we got could have been blotted up with an eyeglass tissue.
Ah well.
Maybe there will be a well-timed storm that brings all arduous activities to a halt but allows net,reading,t.v.,music.time with loved ones and enjoying Nature.
Nice,fresh,cool breezes afterwards.....
I could live with that.

I look forward to such a delightfully calibrated storm, q.
I decided yesterday -- rather impulsively -- to take Sept. 5 and 6 as vacation days. That leaves me two for if I'm able to get away in November, but uses the holiday to its best advantage. In essence, this is how much I'm looking forward to the N/T-S4 premiere, I'm taking time off to natter about it into the wee hours.
I think I'll need the vacation, too. This week for example has been a marathon. For a two-minute song, "The Loopier Things" had more than 100 clips, and all of the tiny clips had to be calibrated pretty exactly, and there was a search involved. I had to sing the song for about an hour to get something even remotely acceptable -- the song is not the easiest in the world to sing. If I did it again, I'd have the lyrics in front of me the whole time because I get lost singing so fast. And even then something happened a few seconds in that depressed the volume/quality so ...
It was an obsessive work. I guess I did it because I just really wanted to, and now it's done.
But the upshot is that I've gotten between three and five hours of sleep for all of this week. How pleased am I that it's Friday?

Q-Cat, we had terrible flooding here and some tree damage. Too bad we couldn't have shared the rain flow a little between sister states? I think the ground was just so hard and dry and then it came down so fast we have a small creek running through our side yard that is now a big fast flowing (class 3) river! (Okay, I embellished). TJ, it looks like it would take a painfully long time to make. Hence why I wont even try. Your stamina and persistance is mind-boggling. AHHHHHHHHHH the weekend is almost here! I am so tired of working painfully long days -- I cant wait to get some of this work done and out already. BDL -4- TGIF!
