Oh, the whole experience will do your liver a favour. After all, don't you have to stop drinking at the same time? Just curious you know, about my own future situation! Glad you enjoyed the grape. There's a glass of tap water waiting for you in Caritas (on me). Luverlley... I'll rue this post soon enough if I manage to quit - I don't have the same support system as you, like setting up threads about it. I do however, have some friends, unfortunately, most of them smoke. They'll be wistful memories... well, for a bit.

After all, don't you have to stop drinking at the same time? Are you insane? I'd be breaking into RTB's bag of Doritos for her valium within hours. I mean, sure smoking, I can quit for years at a time, but let's be realistic.

Man, life in your world is hard. You try and quit smoking but can carry on drinking! I think I'll have to stop going out for a while, and stop having people up to my apartment for wine. Maybe you live in a place where public smoking is banned - I've heard that happens in America. So it's psychologically easier or something... Ah well, I'll drop a shot in your water. How good is that Bitterman? Not good enough! Anyway, hey I've spotted a methol in the corner - eek

Bitterman, if you've had years of smoking and quitting, yet now stopped, then, surely, like Dr Phil says, you've managed the great art of self-mastery?
Oh, the power!! Concentrate on it.
Me, I rarely get that feeling of mastery.

Like most of the things that are bad for you, I smoked when I was a kid, quit cold turkey when I was 20, same thing with liquor and bar hopping. I got all those vices out of my system at a young age. now back away from my Doritos bag b'man, hands in the air, and put your pants back on

I dunno, RTB, I mean, how bad is it really to have a pantless 20-something in your apartment?
Methinks she doth protest too much. ;D

hands in the air, and put your pants back on Which do you mean? Because with my hands in the air I can't put my pants on. Oh look, these aren't my pants anyway heh heh. 20-something? I wish, been years. It's about keeping a young outlook. You know, if I could put my pants on without using my hands... ;D

TS the only things worth mentioning that I've heard about hypnotherapy are that first of all, the success depends on how suggestable you are. Some are more suggestable than others. It also depends on how motivated you are to quit. Because many people will still smoke after having the hypnosis. Often times they suggest to you that even thinking of smoking will make you feel sick. I know I've been known to smoke so much I felt queezy only to light up another one anyway. You didn't step on my toes at all by the way. We are a shifty lot by nature hehe. Any plan to quit smoking depends greatly on your desire to quit. If you try something hoping it will make you want to quit, chances are it won't... YOU have to want to quit. But by all means give hypnosis a shot and let me know how it goes... I'm totally interested in the results.

;D Tj, I wouldn't mind having a pantless 20 yr. old in my apartment, as long as he kept his hands off my Valium. Bitterman, you're right, I should've told you to put your pants on before putting your hands in the air, but hey, if you could put them on without using your hands I would not protest too much

NOT something you are likely to see on Letterman.
Anyway, just because I'm not wearing any pants doesn't mean I'm not dressed. Heck I gotta wear a suit most days and it's still 90°+ outside. I'm half nekkid before I get upstairs.
Ok, the evening gown might be bit much, I'll grant you.
;D

No, the earrings and matching handbag pull it together.
