Actually reading can be far more entertaining than television.
It just depends on what you're reading.

Alas, those days are gone. Reading is now officially more entertaining than watching TV. Of course, I always preferred it, but bleh.
Speaking of comics. I ordered Fray from Amazon a month and a bit ago, and was just recently informed that they did not have it in stock! Those conniving roaches! Oh well.
I don't really read comics though, although there used to be a comic store around here which I would sometimes go into, I think they had Buffy stuff also! Too bad I wasn't into it back then.
And I agree, we are the weirdoes.

So I'm the only hardcore comic fan? (shrugs) Long live Batman!
I just read The Long Hallowe'en last week- great story. I simply looooove the Two Face character. Good read, pick it up if you're willing to fork over the $50 (probably around $35 american grrrr, argh).

Well, I have a few Buffy comics and graphic novels.
And I have the graphic novel for The Crow (the first one) that my sister bought me for Christmas one year.
I also have a couple of the Anne Rice graphic novels.
I used to read comics a little when I was a kid, but I generally prefer my stories to have more depth.
Though comics can be pretty deep, it's not the same as reading a good novel.

I think I'll create a 'Comic' Thread and drag this back on topic. Y'see, Batman is a comic, and his archnemesis is the Joker, who smokes cigars.

My father smoked cigars - so I'll always like the smell of them

I'm disappointed that there's so many judgey people hanging out here.

What do you mean by "judgy" exactly? That's horrible.

Judgey as in, making judgements. I like to think I'm terribly open minded, apparently I'm one of the few.
