I'm trying to open this up to more people, since there's some sense that I'm not open to people's feedback. LORNE'S is a worldwide franchise, tho, and the party is going on worldwide.
NOTE: There are some obvious other places but I'm trying to save them for significant milestones (third year, fifth year, tenth year, etc.). So keep that in mind when selecting "other" -- they may be excellent party suggestions but we might have to save them for later.
Also in voting, have a care for poor Tawni. If we had to have the party in her I'm not sure the poor girl would survive.
Obviously with these polls, once you've voted you can't vote again. But you can still post. So once we've picked one, I'll draw a line, and the next posts can be votes for the next place. These will be valid for the parties on the 'Fraud as well, and obviously only your first vote will count each time. ;D
I'm ... going to hold off voting in this round. You guys pick.

St. Louis seems fine to me. I've never been there. So I went with St. Louie.

If you can make the 'Bash this year, we'll have to plan a day trip to visit Cordy.
She must be involved in a 'Bash. ;D

I chose St. Louis as well. Nothing like bringing the party to me. ;D
Of course, I don't see why it always has to be Lorne's. I don't much care too much one way or another but I do agree that other people have valid opinions on this and we should hear what they have to say.
I know some guys on The Fraud have wanted other character's involved and I think a few people hear have mentioned it as well.
This forum belongs to Itl and he has graciously shared it with all of us. The party thread should not be controlled by one person - unless everyone wants it that way.
I really hope I'm making sense. I just finished watching the rest of Grey's Anatomy and I'm a bit emotionally drained right now. Add that to a lack of sleep and I'm kinda fire bad. tree pretty. Only with lots of tears.

Grey's was indeed emotionally draining.
As I understand it, the person who started the thread carries it forward. In this case, over here, I believe that was ITL. He did hand it over to me since I started the party thread on the 'Tome but the question is absolutely more open on this site, this being ITL's domain.
I'm kind of having a bit of a Willow moment at the beginning of S6 because you all graciously held out for me to join the 'Fraud (back when it was a vicuous mass of goo) to start the party thread over there (you made a plaque with glitter that said "Boss of Us," etc.) but I guess if someone leapt forward and posted an OZ's of MANHATTAN thread I'd still sing there (despite really wanting to hold off til our fifth year visiting New York).
I'm trying to give a little here and open stuff up. If I've been upsettingly unreasonable and completely not open to suggestions I don't need to start the next one.
Someone else start the next one. I'll still post in it.
And since I did have the idea for the party in the first place I do feel a little bit like Buffy at the end of "Empty Places." But it's not like the place didn't work when we had "Lorne's at the Opry" and "Lorne's Down Under" and "Lorne's of Damascus" (although that was just started by grail because the changeover happened while I was banned).
So the real question is ... can I follow.
The next wherever is wherever.
Entirely up to you guys.
My hand is off of this.

I don't disagree on any particular point it's just I can see how the other side feels too.
It's hard to be in the middle.

Just throwin' it in...
Lorne's of Sunnydale.
Of course, it's a big hole in the middle of the desert now, but you gotta figure they'd must've fixed it up by now.

I'm trying to remember the context. It'll come to me. When Zoe is talking to Mal about the guy he wouldn't let on the Mule after their heist and run from the Reavers.

I, for one, am more than happy to have TJ create the thread and do his usual cool and funny first post with backlink (let's face it, he does capture the 'bash spirit so nicely in these posts), but to the same degree, forum life mutates and changes - and some flexibility is needed at times to keep up with it. It has been apparent of late that one area of flexibility needs to be the title/location of the thread - after all, there aren't any "rules of the thread" that are set in stone. The HtH zeitgeist is slightly different now than it was when I opened it's shiny doors nearly two years ago. So as a result we've had two ideas - the scavenger hunt, and this thread. I'm still uncertain how to proceed. It may seem trivial to some, in a "it's just a thread, dude!" type of way, but these threads are the de facto chat threads here, and they belong to us all. I like to think it's a testament to the high standing of the thread and HtH's group spirit that people want to contribute to it's title/location. It's because we all love the thread and it's history.

Very true.
It's interesting to me that the prize for winning the scavenger hunt would specifically be that, and that suddenly there's all this ruckus about me trying to control everything just because I'm usually the one who establishes the next thread -- and that that has moved from just being a tradition to me being a big huge control freak board diva.
Honestly, it's that big a deal to everyone, someone else do it. Seriously.
