I love that collection! It's so shiny. I still haven't looked at everything on the bonus disc. It makes me feel like I'm saving some new stuff for later.
I mostly gave everyone cookies. Beyond a few odds and ends, I burned a set of "Torchwood" DVDs for my sister, gave my mom a framed photo of her and dad and the new addition to their home that I took in October, and I got my dad S2 of "The Rockford Files."
I got a bunch of new towels, some new cookie sheets and cake pans, some new workout sweats (which are incredibly shiny but one size too small for my big butt. ;D ), Jewel Staite's cellphone number, a meat/cheese/pistaschio tray and candy canes from coworkers, I-was-totally-lying-about-the-phone-number and coolest of all, Seasons One and Two of "The West Wing"! We threw in the Christmas episode from S1 Christmas Eve (the one with the Korean War vet) and it was just a perfect end to a perfect day.
Of course, if anyone has Jewel's phone number and passes it along, that would become the coolest Christmas gift by like a lot. ;D
Merry Christmas, everyone!

I got:
Sam's Town The Killers CD Slither on dvd twice so I'll have to take one back. The original Dawn Of The Dead Finding Neverland Ringu 0 - which is one of the original Japanese versions of The Ring. This version tells the story of how the girl in the video became the way she is. I can't wait to watch it. Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest Some Reese's Peanut Butter Cup flavored lip balm Some SweetTart flavored lip balm The Audio book version of Stephen King's Everything's Eventual Some new sheets and bath towels (very soft and expensive bath towels) Soap shaped like a cat Various types of candy, cookies, and fudge A Jasmine scented candle - which hopefully won't put me in a thrall. A PC Magazine subscription The New Stephen King book, Lisey's Story Some book by Iris Johansen called Killer Dreams And the director's cut of Donnie Darko along with various stocking stuffers.
I think I got it all listed. Sometimes I forget things ... oh yeah, I got a Wal-Mart gift card and some cash too.
I hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas. Now I'm going to bed. I'm wore out.

I got a fancy basket with a loofah and a pumice stone and all kinds of neat herbal lotion and bath gel and a wee bar of soap. ( In a prior life, the soap had been the leftovers from making bio-diesel fuel. I think I'm washing with the grease from cooking chicken wings but it smells like lavendar.) I got a neat hand-knitted hat and scarf set. It should have made me look like the Fourth Doctor with a shorter scarf but I look more like Paddington Bear if he were wearing fuchia. Books(!), some Victorian Science Fiction games, lots of sugar free baked goods (far more yummy than you'd think) and a charm for my cell phone. The sleeper was a home made book my uncle made with photos of all the old buildings and places from our past and anecdotes that went with them. Most of the people in the stories are gone and the still extant sites featured won't be far behind them. I'm glad I have some record of that past. That's one good thing about blogs and such. Even people who value the past forget that today is going to be somebody's history. Preserve the stories and images and artifacts from the present or you won't have any parts of the past to share with future generations (or sell on e-Bay). I'm glad y'all had a good Christmas.

P.S. Let's send Jewel a cell phone with our numbers programmed into it. That way we'll know she and tj are on the same calling plan.

Great call! Then we'll know her number and can stalk her using GPS. ;D
How could she possibly object?

Ringu 0 - which is one of the original Japanese versions of The Ring. This version tells the story of how the girl in the video became the way she is. I can't wait to watch it. I saw that. Its really creapy. I thought it was scarier then the American version.I mostly got money for christmas which I then used to go buy a new Ipod. My poor little shuffle is broken. The bit where you plug in the headphones constantly cuts out. I know its not the headphones because I've tried 7 different pairs plus it doesn't hold a lot of music.
Now I have 30GB worth of space and only 2GB of music. Does the itunes store have Veronica Mars? I should chuck a few episodes of that on it.

Cool, now I just gotta go buy one of those little cards. Can I buy stuff from overseas stores? The Australian Itunes doesn't have tv shows or anything but music.

You can try foreign sites and see-or ask the manufactuers.

One of the shinest things I got this Christmas was the revealing of the title of Harry Potter book 7 ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" if you haven't heard). The news about it is huge among the HP fandom.
I heard about it's title release on the 21st, on J.K. Rowling's website, and you had to play hangman in order to see it on her site.
It sort of makes me sad...because I've been a fan for some years...the only times I felt sad about losing something I was a fan of was when Buffy and ANGEL stopped making new episodes.
