EIGHT classes !!!
And they're all challenging ones,too....
I remember my college days.
I had ,at worst,4 classes.
Most of the time I had one- or two if you count three hour classes like
P.E. and voice.
I busted my derriere to get a 3.2 taking honors biology, cultural anthropology,
theories of personality,etc.
Of course,I didn't get into honours biology because I was smart.
I took it because it was critter friendly and didn't meet till 10 a.m.
(I even had to take half of it again in summer school because my mom and aunt
didn't realize the science experiment in my dorm room WAS a science experiment.
They tidied up an eight week investigation into local aquifers that made up half the grade
for me and my roommate.
For six weeks,they had
two girls in college.)
I hope all you students are making good use of your time .
That means more than just studying (or playing) hard.
I hope you can cut back on the hours a bit and enjoy your youth some.
Maybe do some work study,Habitat for Humanity,Goodwill or foodbanks or immerse
yourselves in an outreach program that would help you learn another language such as
Spanish or sign.
These would help you in your vocations and get you out and about.
Visiting the elderly and kids, etc. would help, too.
There's more to life than book learnin' and a lot more to see than just one point of view.
As I've said elsewhere, you can't get a full, clear view of where you've come from till
you step far enough away to get some perspective.
Any other scenery you catch on the way is a bonus.
You want to grow from your journey-not get worn out.
Be sure and use your time off wisely.
The 3 R's are rest, recuperate and re-energize (or is that get ROWDY?)
Good luck with your preaching,Reb.
You will share a copy of that cassette with us,won't you?
