My third year in college has come to a close officially on May 1.
I went to the website that shows the final averages. I was taking 8 seperate classes and I made all A's on all 8 of them. The lowest final average was a 90.
This has helped my gpa out. I have now gone from a 3.35 to a 3.509 which means I now qualify back to the yearly deans list after that one foul class I took messed it up. I'm back baby
This was by far one of my toughest and most stressful years. I expect it to get harder as I go along.
Next week I'll be starting my May and June semester. A total of 14 credit hours over 2 months. Two classes plus a lab in May and same for June.
Then I will have July and most of August off thank goodness.

Chris,it's terrific you did so well with such a challenging workload!
That just goes to show you that a nasty setback or two won't hobble you in the long run if you persevere in taking advantage of good times and opportunities.
That includes chances for reflection and relaxation.
Whether asleep or awake,we need time for rest if we want to heal, grow and utilize all our resources.
We need to let down a bit and cut loose to use all our energy appropriately.
(There's a reason it's called re-creation.)
All work and no play results in a truckload of boredom and entropy and little in the way of stress relief or just plain fun.
No grade and no dollar is worth sacrificing the time to enjoy what you're working for: personal growth, productivity, and doing what you love.
If reaching for the prize means you've sacrificed your physical health, your relationships, your spiritual well-being ,etc. then you've lost more than you've gained.
That's something we've all had to struggle to avoid.
Reb,your classes may get more challenging from now on but they'll probably get easier as you get past the foundation courses and stuff you may not have cared about and move into a regimen that is devoted 100% to your interests and objectives.
That makes the effort you put into things come a LOT easier.
Ideally, the further you proceed, the harder it will be to tell where mandatory work and study end and things done for the pure delight in doing them starts.
(Any book you read or teacher you talk to outside of the grade-earning setting is a treasure.)
While it's true that being one of the good guys and an adult means you don't let the desire for pleasure ,ease, security, etc.rule your existence, one of the hidden treats in life is that you're not supposed to choose between maturity and responsibility and peace and delight.
You demand super-sized portions of both and you don't settle for less.
Leaven all that hard work with time to find out who you are and enjoy your world, hold onto your honor and self-respect at all costs (you're the only human you'll always have to live with.) and keep any giving and taking in balance.
Try that and you'll continue to prosper in school,in your free time and in any career you undertake.
