I wrote this fof a girl of mine earlier this year. She read it when I first put it up for her to read. Yall can tell me what yall think of it.
That Girl in Pink
Who’s that girl walking down the street in that pink Certainly not someone the eye can clearly see For her beauty draws my attention And I feel like I have gone to another dimension.
I feel so unworthy of such love in that mysterious girl in pink She is so stunning in my heart I can hardly think How does she keep herself to look that stunning? I want to go after her running
This girl in pink has clearly drawn my eye in close I can smell her aroma clearly with my nose Wow look at her walk with such stride She is so beautiful I just want to hide
Her clothes are so great to observe in my day She has such glory with her beautiful array She dresses so well how can I ever match that? I just want to come at her like a bat
Her hair draws me in to her beautiful face Its finely woven and silky like silver lace She has clearly drawn me to her I can hardly control this desire I have to meet her
I see the power of the LORD in her heart A bond that can never grow apart The life she has is everlasting and pure I know a any guy with her is lucky for sure
Who can she be? Who is that stunning girl I see I wonder if we can ever be

Something I found online that's very interesting to the aspiring haiku writer:
So, the syllable count seems less important than the direct expression....interesting!

Ode to Cheese
Cheese. That yellow piece of heaven Neither mellifluos nor fatuous But oh so virtuous for to eat it is to reek it.
Cheese. It comes in chunks, it comes in fondue It even comes in little slices So make some space for it. But never fear, they will not protect you.
Cheese. However much I want it will not wear me. Endeavour still I will to wear the cheese.
Cheese. I LOVE IT! You have to look at my bio at 'Fraud -- It's verse, but it's really me! I am forever running around with a little nibble of cheese in my hand! *damn I bet I was a mouse in my last life.* But ya'll know where I originate from -- so --

Oh Nick -- I was born in Wisconsin and lived there for 36 years. Wisconsin is land of the cheese, cheese capitol of the USA. We are called "cheese heads".
So -- that's a little backstory about my origins.

Yes, and you have to understand that there are so many cheese outlets, like bakery stores, everywhere.
So it was very common to go on a cheese run -- take a Sunday drive and go buy fresh cheese curds. Then, it just sorta says with you in life --
*nibbles her cheese*
