Wishes of endearment for a warm Mother's Day, With thoughts of love and big hugs today.
A day to reflect the fond memories treasured, Sometimes through hard work, or peacefully leisured.
And when I am so far away, in mind, or to speak of, Doesn't really matter for my heart is full of Love.

Poetry is really big with my family. I have volumes of poetry my Father has written throughout the years. My Brother has even been known to toss a few lines together as gifts. But mostly it's just me and my Dad who write. Very sentimental to me.

This is one my Father wrote, I have it on his website:
CHENANGO (Lucky lady)
Many men traveled, from near and far, To honor a part of their past.
Sixty years have vanished in time, And still the memories last.
For thousands of men, she was our strength, As she welcomed us to her breast.
And made her men, strong and proud. To that, history would attest.
She would be our home away from home, As she calmed our nerves and fears.
And we grew up within her heart, Through days, and months, and years.
She taught us how to work and fight, To hold our heads up high.
And what a Patriot feels, When they bury friends that die.
I fell in love, at first sight, And would serve her that I knew.
Beneath her hard gray exterior, Flew a flag of RED WHITE and BLUE.
For all the time we were in her care, her flag was "at the unfurl,"
Just a reminder, "DON’T FORGET," What happened December 7th, at PEARL.

Did someone say poetry? Ka-ching!
The Bloody Awful Poet is in the hiz-ouse!
Man, do I miss my Ode to Singing Panties. It's too bad I can't find it in archives. Or is that a good thing?
But no matter! There's work to be done, and awful poetry to unleash. ;D

Ode to Cheese
Cheese. That yellow piece of heaven Neither mellifluos nor fatuous But oh so virtuous for to eat it is to reek it.
Cheese. It comes in chunks, it comes in fondue It even comes in little slices So make some space for it. But never fear, they will not protect you.
Cheese. However much I want it will not wear me. Endeavour still I will to wear the cheese.
Cheese.

Here's a desperate attempt... [glow=red,2,300] Let's Party! My back, it hurts. My head, it aches. I do not want that old cream cake!
Red, fluffy roses water my eyes; My date hasn't showed and I'm left with the bill.
Laughter and screaming sounds the same.
TV has got boring And books are too long, CW is waiting for Veronica Mars.
7th Heaven is back Evil reigns over our Screens. American Idol is doomed Cause Christ Daughtry was creamed; We're stuck with 3 losers who can hardly sing. [/glow] ^^^Best I could do.
