It's going to be hectic in my little RW environment for the next few days....
The landlord is installing a new central heating system on Monday and Tuesday next week.. So, hooray! for that. The gas fires in my living room and bedroom will be getting ripped out and replaced, and a new immersion heater is getting installed in my bathroom.
All good news.
However....to make space for the new stuff to be installed and for the workmen to work, I've been told I have to clear the relevant areas. My flat is very small, and I have a lot of stuff - so from Friday through Sunday, I'll be busy de-cluttering my living room, bedroom, and the space near my front door to make room.
If only there was somewhere to put the clutter....my flat is small. It's already full of stuff. Difficult. Looks like stuff will have to be piled up on one side of my living room, and stuff will have to be piled into my bedroom. And, I have to make sure that there's space in the bedroom for the workmen to work, as well.
So - I won't be around much from Friday though Sunday (maybe even until Tuesday), as I'll be busy de-cluttering and rearranging. And when the new system is being installed, I may not even be able to get online for a while, as they'll no doubt be turning of the electric while they install stuff.
I should still be able to make the 'Thon on Saturday, though.

Awe ITL ... lotsa BRIAN to you!
For ITL ... a folk song, if you will. From a "Barnsley Lass" of gold ringlet curls.
.
"A Rose In April" Kate Rusby
Oh can I go to my love's side Oh let me go this day, Please let me go to my love's side, Oh mother, don't make me stay. I was a rose in April And still a rose in June I fear that come the winter, I shall no longer bloom
Oh daughter, daughter you cannot go, Oh you cannot go this day. Your father, he forbade you, And at home you must remain. You were a rose in April, And still a rose in June, But God can send five winters And I know my rose will bloom
Mother, mother, I must away Unto my true love's side. Bring to me my white horse, And away to him I'll ride She's rode through fields of barley, And she's rode throught fields of corn, She's come unto her true love One hour before the dawn.
Her father, being awakened, Heard of his daughter's flight. He's taken up his dagger And he's rode into the night. He's rode through fields of barley And he's sped through fields of corn. He's come unto her true love's house Just before the dawn.
He's found his daughter sleeping in her true lover's arms. He's taken up his dagger And it's deep into their hearts. Oh father, cruel father, You've killed my love, killed me, But now I'll rest beside him, Locked in his arms I'll be. Locked in his arms I'll be ...

I'm so glad to hear you're getting a better heating system ITL. ;D
It's a bummer you won't be around much though. Rearranging sucks while it's going on but when you get everything back in a new place it's always good.
I had to do a bit of rearranging myself today. I had a wire shelf in the dining room with my Buffy books and magazines on it. It was always falling apart since it's one of those snap together things.
I finally decided to switch it out with the yaffa blocks shelf I have in my bedroom. It's far sturdier and shouldn't fall apart. I've had it since Enzo was little. I originally bought it for his books but he now has a better shelf for those since he has so many now.
Just switching out two sets of shelves was a pain and that didn't require moving anything else. Plus, I so need to dust more often. My allergies are all acting up from moving dust around today.
It's all done now and the shelves work so much better in their new places. The wire shelf is now in a place where it won't fall apart - since Enzo and the cats won't constantly be around it. Plus, it has much lighter things on it.
Enzo had something on the shelf when it was still in the dining room that got all over the shelf and some of my books when it fell apart this last time.
I don't know what it was but two of my Buffy books are now messed up. The covers got stuck together and I had to pull them apart. Thankfully they were paperback books and not worth so much.
