I Hope you don't mind....I thought the context of the rubber room would put an interesting slant on this post... Talk amungst yourselves Today's Moments Of Mathmatical Zen ...
When in trouble or in doubt ... run in circles, scream and shout.
No matter how thin you slice it ... it's still baloney.
If everything seems to be going well ... you have obviously overlooked something.
It is impossible to make anything foolproof ... because fools are so ingenious.
School ... a mental institution ? ! ?
The more you run over a dead cat, the flatter it gets.
Logic is a systematic method of coming to the wrong conclusion with confidence.
When in doubt, mumble. When in trouble, delegate. When in charge, ponder.
If at first you don't succeed ... so much for skydiving.
Things are more like they are now than they ever have been before.
Don't look back ... something might be gaining on you.
An expert really doesn't know anymore than you do. He is merely better organized and has overhead slides.
In order to get a loan, you must first prove that you don't need it.
I stumbled across this stuff while I was searching for some math graphics for my webpage assignment.
I thought I'd share them with the class. ;D

Several of them made me think of you. ;D LOL I'm honored...I think...yup I am... It takes so little these days hehe but honestly several of them reminded me of me as well. A bit self-centered...but who else does a person have to center on? ;D Oh wait, a drooling Olaf in an airport terminal sounds funny ... ;D

Yeah, it would almost make it worth inviting her ... almost. Then we'd have to ditch her.

I am so totally having the worst day EVER!!
Okay, so my group totally sucks in my MI464 class. This should be the best group ever because we're all A students and can totally do this project.
Instead it's devolved into a bad reality show where everyone keeps trying to get out of work and everyone argues with everyone else.
So Scott asks if he can help anyone with their part of the project because he feels like he hasn't done enough and wants to do something.
So I ask if he can help with my part. I have most of it done, there were just a few things I couldn't do until I had input from Naked Josh - who is less than forthcoming with the info. I need.
The problem starts when Dirk wants it done before our group meeting tomorrow.
Now I'm just now getting home from school, I have to work tomorrow, and directly after work I have to take a really quick shower and drive to school for the meeting.
So unless I don't bother sleeping I don't actually have time to work on this.
Further complicated by the fact that Kunal and I also have a group project that's due in our web design class.
A project that so far only exists in my head - except for the banner that ITL was kind enough to design for us. [The banner totally rocks by the way!]
I was planning on working on that this afternoon while waiting for my night class to start.
Then Judy insists that I try to work on my part of the project, even though she was also looking for something to do and hasn't really contributed much to this project thus far. She has been busy doing the entire group project for another class because Naked Josh is slacking in that class too.
I tried to tell her I wouldn't have time to get it done but I'd try and see what I could do.
So Scott had done a little work on my form during our group meeting earlier.
I asked if he could upload the form to the dropbox so I could work on it.
He said something to me, but I didn't actually hear what it was.
So I waited for him to upload the database, and I saw him leave with his girlfriend.
I emailed everyone reiterating what I had stated in class about not having time to work on the project between now and the meeting. I also mentioned that Scott didn't upload the database so I could work on it.
Then, during my break in my night class I checked my email.
Scott emailed to the entire group chewing my @ss out for trying to get out of doing any work. He said that I could have easily redid what he had done and that he had already told me that when I asked him to upload the file.
He said that I needed to stop making excuses and a whole bunch of other crap that totally pissed me off.
Luckily for him it was time for me to head back to class so I didn't have time to respond to his email.
I would have seriously chewed his @ss out which would not have been at all helpful for the group.
I'm still trying to work out exactly what I'm going to say to him about the email.
So, I'm driving home and still pretty upset. Who would have thought my day could go from bad to worse?
I hit a deer on the way home.
Luckily, for me anyway, I just caught him with the drivers side of the car.
My fender is cracked, the turn signal is hanging off, and my drivers side door has a dent in it.
My car is still drivable, and I'm okay, but I have no idea home much it's going to cost me to fix the car.
This day really sucked.
So, how's things with everyone else?

Um ... you win?
Agree with him. In your e-mail, I mean. Totally agree with him that you were just trying to get out of doing the work and apologize.
Then, when the group meets, chew out his sorry ass in front of everyone for not getting the info downloaded he said he would so you couldn't make any progress at all on the project.
That should catch him off guard.
Turn immediately to Josh and tell him he needs to get his cute little man-butt in gear and make with the info. ;D
Mention, not for the first time, that Judy should be in charge of the group and then sit back and watch the skitestorm.
Or get up and leave. Y'know. Either way.

Well, I will be moving to a new city on the 18th of December...all by myself....so much to do so little time...I guess I should be making lists or something....
But it will be easier now that I've decided to get rid of practically everything I own. I'm selling appliances, donating some clothes, exercise equipment, and a bunch of other things. Getting rid of all my Kitchen stuff.
But even getting rid of a lot of this stuff I still have enough to fill a U-haul I'm sure.....I worry that I can't do this on my own though.... specially moving the big stuff....
I hate moving....it's so stressful...didn't I just help my roomies do that a few weeks ago? I may just snap and go on a rampage before this is over.
On the plus side, I'll be where the jobs are in this state....though I'd rather be in NY or a different country....same diff....
But that will have to wait......I am so envious of b'man right now...where is he anyway? And why is everyone trying to resue him lol

Where are you moving to? Any why the decision to move?
Do you have another job in another place?
I hate moving too. Packing really stinks. But look on the bright side; at least you're not moving in the middle of 100 degree weather from a place that has no AC. And on top of that working a full time job on opposite shifts from the person who's moving with you.
Totally not recommened to move like that, even if it was just across town.
*I really hope that last part made some kind of sense*

Well I'm moiving about 130+ miles from where I am now....and I don't feel eny better about it but thanks for the story anyway And I've got lots of prospective job opportunities, but haven't settled on any specific one yet... I need a break from the therapy gig because I need to work on some of my own stuff a little more before committing to it full time....IE I want to work on my music and writing a bit...I've neglected both for quite a while....
So, I have this real easy job lined up with the state taking calls from pharmacies wondering why state insurances won't fill certain scripts, etc...(stupid pill poppers ruin it for everyone) Anywho...it pays about 10 bucks an hour, which is good around here for someone who has no one but herself to take care of....plus I can work on my music at the same time... Being a therapist wipes me out too much to focus...yada yada bla bla
Okay, that's my life story lol

Sounds like an interesting way to make a living.
Definitely beats the hell out of working at McDonalds.
So, you're moving just for the job, or did you want a change of scenery and the job just provided a good excuse to move?

I've moved eight times myself. Smart move trying to get rid of stuff before you move. I just helped a friend's parents move. They lived in the same house for 35 years and never got rid of anything. That was a fun job.
