Has anyone seen this from WB (I think)? It's a cross IMO between X-Files and Buffy. Things kinda happen, then things kinda turn up and somehow they always seem to get the info they need and manages to do what they needed to do.
It's not brilliant and I heard somewhere it wasn't doing to well so... either way, I don't think it's a big loss if this was cancelled.
There was an episode with Amy Acker and she was great as usual.

I actually really enjoy this series. I really love the dynamic between Sam and Dean, tell me that isn't Rat Pack Reference if there ever was, they really act like brothers. A couple of episodes actually freaked me out, mainly the first and the one that just aired Tuesday. I am really enjoying the arc with Dean and his father about the woman they love getting killed in the exact same way. There is actually a lot of promise for the series IMHO.

let's hope promise and execution are enough for a series nowadays.

I enjoy the series as well, for all the reasons Kev already mentioned. It's not as good as Buffy, but then nothing else on television is that good either.
It's on The WB so it shouldn't be canceled unless it's doing extremly badly since their shows really don't get very good ratings anyway (as compared to other networks).

For some reason I liked Tru Calling betetr but that got cancelled. Has it been sometime that a series didn't have a young Heroine? Well, I suppose we have Smallville.
I'm starting to like the series, it's actually quite scary. Only a few things bug me - they always seem to know what to do. Understandable in their circumstance but sometimes it seems a bit too easy or coincidental. I have a feelin I know where the story is heading which is a bit worrying, although if they do manage to surprise me that will be great.

The Feller and I have gotten totally obsessed with this show.
(He thinks Dean is a cutey-patootie, which -in fairness- he is.)
It makes a great back to back with Bones (when they bother to air Bones)

I like the fact that you can actually HEAR them at the pitch session saying "It's The X-FIles meets Buffy..."

Well, the Feller should know cute since you and he are both as electrifyingly attractive as tomcats in a roomful of conductive metals and wool socks.
Ne c'est pas?

He is so not wrong about that. Dean is a major hottie. ;D

I loved Tuesday's episode when Dean called, Sam after figuring it out part of the mystery, Good job Dr. Venkman. I love when there Ghostbusters references.

Was that in the Hook-Hand Man episode?
I have to admit, it bugged me on a scholarly level that they intermingled Hook Hand with several other Urban Legends.
A minor quibble.

They are just trying to be different - there are so many other series that are certain thing (paranormal event) must be defined as that certain thing. Unlike Buffy and X-files though, there doesn't seem to be a set rule what what is allowed and doesn't exist (Supernatural mytho) - or it could be wildcards are free. Does anyone think that a female lead will come into the mix soon? At least until the finale? Cause it does seem kinda strange there isn't a romatic lead in a series - but then everytime they do they just burn up so it isn't possible.

I suspect that they'll avoid the romantic lead thing for at least this season (assuming other seasons become availble, I suppose.)
Is it wrong for me to hope that Sam and Dean get drunk and start making out?
