Naturally.
Should we start with three or five?
Is there a natural narrative break at any point?

Oh Lord, I don't know.
Let's start with three and see how that goes for the first week.
(God, I hope we don't end up on a big cliffhanger...)

I think he starts creating the world again at that point, if memory serves.

I'm not sure I'd have much to contribute, but I'll give it a shot.
That is if I can find the chapters online somewhere. Don't have a bible handy. Go to www.biblegateway.com/All you have to do is put in the book, chapter, and even verse and choose which translation to use...it'll give it to you. They have * any* translation of the Bible,(that I'm aware of). So, that shouldn't be a problem for you.

This sounds like lots of fun as long as everyone plays nice and sticks to the ground rules.
I'll try to participate but I can't make any promises - though I do have several versions of the Bible handy.

This sounds interesting.
I might need this to cleanse my spiritual palate as I've been indulging in examining some shall-we-say-*alternative* eisegesis of the Scriptures.
Some of it was just interpretation of the Word colored by a different time or place than what I'm used to.
Others were Biblical text as filtered by the perspective of atheistic zealots, racial supremacists, alien abductees, etc.
Sometimes you have to step pretty far from your usual vantage point to see the other person's perspective but you can,on occasion, find clues to your own theological conundrums amid some very unobvious material.
Different languages, etc. can give different insights.
For instance, you think preachers spoke a lot about America being God's tool for rescuing Mankind prior to the fifteenth century?
Is that view bandied about much outside certain sectors of the U.S.?
I'm not saying what's right or wrong but I'll enjoy separating cultural assumptions and linguistic nuances from the unadorned texts.
As we have a bright, learned and eclectic bunch here,we ought to find a lot of new aspects to the old,old story.

Quantumcat just used the word 'Eisegesis'
can 'Exegesis' be far behind?
I think not!

Bango- just a point of curiosity - are you familiar with the bible-site that both auntie and I linked to on the first page? How does it compare with the one that you linked to above?

I'm not familiar with that site you two gave...but I am with the one I suggested. I use it when I'm debating on the Faithwalk forums, and I use it on my site. I find it to be better than the one y'all gave, since all you have to do is type in the location and choose which version, and it automatically gives it to you...whereas on the other suggested site y'all gave, you'd have to click on the book and then find the verse.
