That dorm scene was a one-act. It was a brilliant, brilliant one-act play unto itself.

I love when Anya hugs Giles. I get a much needed smile out of that scene.

Auntie, it is nice when Anya embraces Giles but as I said I absolutely can't smile in this episode.

A little Buffy Tara bonding moment. It's very cool.
G-d, so much of S6 in this ep.

It doesn't get me that deeply. There are several small parts that make me smile.

That scene is adorable. ;D
I love this part with Buffy and Tara. It works so well, they're so awkward together, but Tara's the best one to understand what's she's going through.

And Dawn goes on her quest.
She hadn't gotten to see her. She needs to believe it.

What would be more horrifying -- your mother's shell or a naked vamp?

The fight with the vampire is so unpleasant. He's grabbing at her and she's kneeing him in the balls. Then she has to cut off his head with a crappy wee saw. Slowly. Ugh.

I can totally relate to that, when my Dad died I refused to believe it until somebody let me go up to him and take his pulse.
Maybe that's why this episode gets me so much.

That's a pretty amazing way to end the episode.

What excellent camera work with D, B & J in the morgue.
And nice blackout.
Good work, Joss.
I didn't mean to be so abrupt earlier, but I wish I'd been able to just experience this. Losing the thread, finding the new one and then talking about the schedule during the episode threw me completely.
There's really only so much I can deal with at once. For example, I completely missed Giles in the hospital.
I'll just watch it again tomorrow.
So ... cuing up "Intervention," yes?

Absolutely amazing ending, what a well acted, well directed, and well written episode.

I can totally see that. Sorry to hear about your Dad.
Dawn's reaction reminds me of when my ex husbands cousin Ron died.
He had spent the night at our house and they stayed up playing video games all night before he left to drive home.
Around 7 a.m. my exes Mom called and said we needed to come over right away.
We were afraid something happened to his Dad or something.
When his Mom told us the Ron was in a car accident on the way home my exes reaction just about broke my heart.
He wouldn't believe her and kept saying no. It was very hard to watch, Ron was like a brother to him.
And I had met Ron before I knew my husband so it was hard for me as well.
He died on his birthday, which was also on the very same day that Brandon Lee died while filming "The Crow".
