What a start to the new season. I could see John exchanging his life for his son's life. I could tell he was planning this from the beginning, once he woke up. I really feel bad for Sam and Dean, losing their father after seeing that he survived that accident. I wonder what John told Dean before he died. I'm sure we will find out later. Sometimes, I think John is a SOB based on his actions, but I know he always does with the best intentions. And you could see that Sam and John are very similiar, and that's why they always butt heads. I really like the way they are setting up that season. John may be obsessed with the demon, but I could tell he could love his family more.
GIANT SPOILERS FOR GREY'S:
What is it with Jeffery Dean Morgan dying in hospitals. I'm sure we will see him more in the series in flashbacks.
END GIANT SPOILERS FOR GREY'S
This episode had wonderful acting by all three main characters.
This episode felt very similiar to the Angel episode of Hellbound with the spirit being taken to the beyond by a "Reaper".
And the guy who played the person the demon possessed near the end was in the Firefly episode "Heart of Gold" as Rance.

Season 2 thoughts so far coming up! The second season is much much better.
One of the first thing they did is to kill off the Dad which I expected them to do. The dad was a bit of a problem in season 1 because some things in the story didnt really fit. Now Dean is suppose to be dead (which I hope we will come back to soon), and Sam is part of the big plan.
The only problem so far is that they don't have a clear cut goal. Their dad is gone, the demon missing and no weapon to fight them with.
They still don't have a female lead!

After what was brilliant start to season 2 - the series started to disintegrate into Sam's whining. It's beginning to get annoying.

I still like it. And I'm really hoping Alonna Tal joins the cast.

I still like it as well. Though my son spoiled the ending of the last episode for me by saying, "this ep has a real twist ending."
So, the second the girl woke up in the wrecked car I knew she was really dead and just didn't know she was a ghost.
Still a very cool ep though.

That last episode was great - back to true Supernatural style. Mini review coming up, kept it in the spoiler tag for now cos I dunno if you all watched it yet. The lack of Sam whining about being Evil is great! I thought they had resolved the issue but Sam keeps bringing it up every episode since he first found out.
The storyline isn't really that original, but with the new setting and the cast - it made it great. I like some people have figured out that the girl was dead since the crash. However, I actually thought her husband might be the evil guy. So it was a good twist.
I love the fact that Sam and Dean do not kill every single ghost they come to. I also don't believe there is no way to kill her if they really needed to. They have always said to salt burn the corpse - but the ghost can be attached to certain objects/areas etc.
A couple of episodes back, they had an episode on Angels. I also refuse to believe that there are no Angels. If there are demons, there has to be Angels. It can't all be bad. It never really explained how the dead reverend got his prophetic powers and calming peace powers from if he was just an ordinary ghost.
Anyhow, this episode about the dead girl finally showed some of the goodness in the Sam and Dean universe.

hehe, always aiming to please. I'd find that sometimes I get lost in my thoughts, and so my sentence structure becomes incoherent. I really need to start proof reading what I write!
