Sasha Cohen was just awesome in the Short Program, and she's leading after it. Only the Free Skate or Long Program, which is twice as long as the Short Program. I hope she keeps it up.

I remember reading in a teacher's advisory article how this teacher would bond/scrutinize her students by casually walking by and touching their shoulder or sitting on the edge of their desk. I 'm a bit claustophobic and a 'sprawler' when I work so I found the idea of invading someone's personal space while observing them utterly appalling and VERY counter productive. I knew I could never come up with one coherent thought under those circumstances-unless it involved the 'accidental' use of glue, pens or those really sharp compasses. 'Sorry,Teacher. I was so busy determining the square root of m squared that I didn't notice your glutes were in my inkwell." (I'm sure that instructor meant well.)

Power strip connected. The new computer now has the best of everything, including the company of my fish.
This machine is now plugged into anything close. I'm typing from under the table. ;D
I plugged it in and it's so shiny. It's all black and silver with the prettiest blue lights. It came pre-loaded with a ton of Dr.Who eps courtesy of my sister. I clicked on one. I had wall-to-wall Who. ;D
I connected my printer and printed a test page. That's all so far, but it's of extremely high quality.
Next step is to learn how to get it to do what I want it to do. That step will happen tomorrow or Thursday, when I get the cable plugged into the back of it.
On Saturday, my sister will walk me through the available applications, including any photo and video editors that may be mounted (so I can play with banners and avies and stuph). And my photos. There practically isn't a surface my camera couldn't conceivable plug into -- all of them recessed. Connectivity is not an issue.
Saturday should be tomorrow.
* very pleased *
It's like something stolen directly out of Alliance headquarters! ;D
so shiny ...
Have wonderful evenings, everyone.

That sounds WONDERFUL,tj!!! I suspect that computer can fold time (if not laundry) and give you a hassle free tool for your talents. It's about time! The mere mechanics are augmented by the power of love and super brain power . (courtesy of your sister) That's how that little blue police box achieved technical feats that should have been beyond it. Your dynamite machine is starting out with that kind of 'auxilary power source'. (You can't get that kind of boost at Radio Shack.) Together, you should be unstoppable. I'm VERY happy for you! Enjoy!!!

Next step is to get it roaring down the road, which I'm hoping to do today.

Hey all!
Boy, did work take a great big old crap on me last wednesday. I've been totally swamped, and now I'm staring to regret some of the imagery I've chosen to use here...
Moving on-
Hit it, Zombie Vapors!
I've got'chore picture! I've got your picture of me and you
You wrote "I love you" I wrote "me too"
I sit there staring and there's nothing else to do
Oh it's in color Your hair is brown
Your eyes are hazel And soft as clouds I often kiss you when there's no one else around
I've got your picture, I've got your picture I'd like a million of you all round my cell
I want a doctor to take your picture So I can look at you from inside as well
You've got me turning up and turning down And turning in and turning 'round
I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
I'm Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
I've got your picture, I've got your picture I'd like a million of them all round my cell
I want the doctor to take a picture So I can look at you from inside as well
You've got me turning up and turning down and turning in and turning 'round
I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
No sex, no drugs, no wine, no women, No fun, no sin, no you, no wonder it's dark. Everyone around me is a total stranger Everyone avoids me like a cyclone ranger
Everyone
That's why I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so I'm turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so
Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so (think so think so think so) Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so

Big damn' lighter for that one, Py. Fun song.
Sir! Py's turning Japanese at work again!
Honestly, some people. GROW UP, DANIEL!
* sip * Seriously good to see your voice again, guy. I'm hoping I'll be able to listen to that one you uploaded soon -- my shiny new machine will be online by Monday. PM me the link if you can so I don't have to go wading through carrot tops for hours searching for it.
Apart from that -- stop buzzing around like a hyperactive quark with a short attention span, take a load off and enjoy a Seabreeze -- my treat.
How's things by you?

slowly improving. Work continues to take up far too much of my time and energy right now.
Feh.
What's up with that? Don't they know that I have precious little time to get February's FellerFaddle done?

Slow but sure, I think sums it up best 7 more chapters to finish. most of them are written to an extent, and just need to be polished up and brought to various conclusions. That bring me up to 25 essays, I really feel like I should come up with one more so that they can each be assigned a letter of the alphabet, and then I can suggest in the forward that they be read in random orders to get different things out of the story- you know, pick a word and see what the essays spell out, that sort of things. If you think 'Q.U.E.E.R.', you get a completely different take on the story than if you think 'F.A.G.' for example If for no other reason than the first one would involve reading the essay 'Eagles' twice for the sake of spelling, wheras the second involves getting to read 'catching tigers', one of my faves from the book.

Drinks are on me!
* SPLASH!! *
* dripping wet, but still grinning from ear to ear *
All is right with my world. Well, that might be overstating things, but I am very happy right now. Not only did Py grace us with his presence today, but I got some really good news at work.
In addition to putting up with the crap from my boss I have been dreading this next project. I really wasn't looking forward to training a room of 100 people. I didn't realize how much I hated the idea until I heard I might not have to do the training.
I felt positively euphoric. I honestly felt like I was high. I was genuinely smiling all day today.
While I was getting a cup of coffee this afternoon a different feeling hit me. I felt normal. I have been worrying about training this project since before Thanksgiving. When a new job didn't save me from training I started to get more and more apprehensive. I couldn't just quit and turn down a paying job though.
As I was getting my coffee I was thinking about something I was going to do next week. I felt normal again since my thoughts didn't immediately turn to finding a new job or some other way of avoiding the next project.
Life is good.

Thanks for the drink, Auntie. Rum & Coke, please, Z'Rolf. I'm leaving for the day.
* tosses it back * Ah! Refreshing.
That sounds like a great idea, Py. I'm tempted to suggest the missing letter as lacuna -- 10 minutes' meditation on the reader's reaction to what s/he's read, but that might be a little art house.
Anyway, that old clock on the wall. See you kids later!
