Is it disappointing that you're just me and Husk's hero?

That pretty much goes without saying.

IMPLICATED!
I heard Scooter Libby just testified this a.m. that Bush himself tipped the nod on Valerie Plame.

Well, something actually happening to him because of it might be nice ...
Course, Cheney could take over, which in my mind isn't exactly a win.

I say to heck with all of 'em till we get our 40 acres and a mule, the lands where grass grows and water flows, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, etc.
Let some guy pass a law that implements decent health care, child care, a safe environment, real education and maybe included sound fiscal policy and a respect for all the planet and all is peoples.
Then,I might become less jaded.
How about public transportation? Preserving and utilizing our old buildings and wilderness?
How about restricted licenses for new/impaired drivers that mandate the sole use of nev's in the company of a competent, licensed driver?
That would put teens, the elderly, and a few other marginal folk in cars that were cheap, perfect for short jaunts, could haul groceries but incapable of going fast, long or with more than a passenger or three.
Our destinations might change to fit the rides of our biggest group of recreational consumers.
Close, full service and based on a local, independent retail economy.
(Kinda what families, retirees and pedestrians need, too, huh?)
Just a fevre dream or two on my part....
(never mix welsh rarebit with C-Span)

We have that here in Missouri now. Teens get a graduated drivers license. They can now get a permit at 15 instead of 15 1/2 so they have an entire year of practice before taking the test.
At 16 they don't yet have a full license. They are restricted to certain hours of the day for driving without a licensed adult. They also loose their license until they are 18 if they quit school.
They don't receive a full drivers license until they are 18.
It's a fairly recent law. I saw a description of the law hanging in the waiting room at JDC when we were waiting to see Enzo's Juvenile Officer.

Restricted licenses are great. (you have to stay in school and keep your grades up,too. The n.e.v. wrinkle was to get kids off of fad cars made to go fast, make noise and impress and onto something safe and efficient. I don't think you can vroom vroom and shake house windows in an electric car. I just had an evil thought. Enzo will have had such a head start proving he's a responsible young man,his insurance might just be the lowest of his class. Serves 'em right.

Over here in Melbourne, you can go for your L's when your 16, to get to you P's you have to have at least driven 120 hours. But your stuck on you P plate for like 3 years or something. Which reminds me, I should read that damn drivers book sometime soon.

Enzo needs to get on that as well. He'll be 15 in October. I can't believe he's going to be 15 already.

He's a good kid with a great mom. No worries he'll elope with his nanny or drop his parents in the ocean.
