Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
I was relying on my memory, which isn't perfect, from quite a while ago, when I thought I remembered reading it in TVGUIDE, which I do read pretty carefully every week, but clearly I'm misremembering this. I'm not set up to see BBC America right now.
Obviously I was mistaken about this. See apology above.
So I was downloading it because that's how I saw S1 because that is something my sister hooked me up with on this machine.
(Doesn't change the reality about paying $100 retail for 13 episodes of anything.) I honestly don't have a problem with you downloading the show - I just think it's funny that you were mad (well, technically on your moral high horse) at Nick and Dez for downloading season three of Veronica Mars (which they weren't doing) when it hasn't aired yet but it's okay for you to do the same thing with Doctor Who is all.
Since I got my season two from ITL before it aired here I obviously have no moral qualms with it myself.
And you're right, paying $100 for 13 eps of anything is excessive. That's why I downloaded Season Two of Deadwood instead of buying it on dvd. I'd buy it if I had that kind of money because I love the show, but I don't have that kind of money and I want to be able to watch it.

I was more impressed with their resolve than anything. That seemed like magic.
That and I couldn't conceive of going to that kind of trouble (and there is some doing involved) when the show's going out on the air in less than a month.
Also, a bit of jealousy for them seeing something before me, because I am stoked for VM-S3. No zealotry like that of a convert.
That being said, there was this potzer on N/T who kept posting the fact that he'd somehow dl'd an advance copy of "Cindy Plumb" and it seemed like he wanted us to all bow down before him or something.
Eric Cartman: "Who wants to touch me?"
Honestly, I was excited, but verr' willing to hold off and experience it with everyone else.

Usually downloads of episodes don't hit the web until a day or two after the episode airs. So people who download it, usually watch it a couple of days after everyone else.

Hence the whole "seeming like magic" thing.

Well, the only special features in the U.S. version are a few deleted scenes and a featurette, so you're not missing much. But I like the deleted scenes.

I saw The Grudge 2 a few hours ago.
It was Soooooooo much better than the first film! It's still in the same format, but the pace and storyline is much loved by me! I even liked how it was a little more character-centric also.
And...it makes the first one comprehensive on a newer level.
So, see it!...if you liked/enjoyed the first one.

I saw The Departed Friday night. Can't say that I loved it. Can't say I liked it the least little bit either.
There were glimpses of what the movie could've been, but it would just fall back to being pretty crappy.
I felt like I had testosterone poisoning when I got out of the theater.

I just finished watching The Da Vinci Code, and i would give it 2.5 stars out of four.
First of all, I think that all of the preformances in the film were all good, but the script was off. I was disappointed that some of my favorite details in the book wasn't in the movie. Like the fact there was two cryptexs instead of one, or the end of the book where Sophie brother was still alive. I thought the screen writers did a horrible thing by taking the conversation between Robert and Sophie's grandmother. I know that movies based on books have to take some liberties with details in the book, but some of the best details were not there.
Overall the movie left me cold, it should have been much better.

I watched Clerks II tonight and I loved it. That movie is so very much fun.
I was really worried that it would suck so I'm so happy it didn't.

I watched this movie tonight and I thought it was pretty good. I felt it was better than the sequel but not as good as the original.
Things that I liked: - The Sandman storyline. Thomas Haden Church did a good job as Sandman, he really did make me care about his problems. -Tobey McGuire. Once again, he carried this movie. It is getting to the point that I cannot see anyone else besides Tobey as Peter Parker. Columbia or Sony needs to spend whatever it needs to keep him as Peter. -Harry Osborn. Sam Raimi made a great casting call for Harry with James Franco. I liked all aspects of Harry in this movie. Angry Harry. Amnesiac Harry. Vengeful Harry. And best friend Harry. I was never infuriated with Harry and his thirst for vengance. -Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy. I really liked her. She is funny, pretty and smart. I felt bad for her when Peter used her to get MJ jealous. -Topher Grace was good too. I kept on expecting him to act like Eric Foreman and at points he was, but overall, I liked him. -Loved the Simbiote and Venon storyline. I thought it was well done. And Venom looked f**king awesome. -Script was good and the direction was much better. -I loved the CGI. -Kirsten Dunst's hair. It was pretty. Things I didn't like. -Mary Jane. She just got on my nerves for the second straight movie. This time the rest of the movie helped me overlook her annoyingness.
So, I would rate this movie as an 8/10.

We've been talking movies on Facebook, but it would be easier to do that over here. So. Anyone seen anything good lately? How to Train Your Dragon is out on DVD. It's very cute. I think the critics were giving it a little bit too much credit, but it's still pretty good. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs was surprisingly good too. It's actually the same movie as Dragons except no dragons.

The previews for "How To Train Your Dragon" - I almost wrote 'Drain' Ha! - looked good. I haven't gotten to see it yet.
Looking at the names in these threads makes me miss people we never hear from anymore. Like Q'cat, Sistermt, Tealbox, Feigy, and Bango to name a few off the top of my head.
It's like a trip through memory lane in here.

Yeah, I hope Q'Cat looks in once in a while to see if anything is new. I was also wondering how Tickie had been doing.

It sure gets crazy when everyone gets a life.
