G-d's covenant is with Abraham's observant progeny.
It took all of Paul's tortured logic and a few obviously tacked-on conversations in the Gospels to make it apply to Gentiles.
Why don't you pay attention? You just said God made the wrong choice in Abraham's first covenant. How low is this comment.
Pauls tortured logic. You criticize an apostle of Christ given the message to give to us.
Sounds like you need to pay attention to what you are really saying.

Most definetly, we have no right to criticize God's choices. We aren't him. We are nowhere near superior. Trying to put words in His mouth isn't doing much either. God makes the rules not us.

I'm deluded now, am I?
Whatever. Yes, you are! You call yourself a Christian but you seem to tear your faith apart and criticize Christ's actions, and what the Scriptures say, what God says. Do you even love Jesus Christ? Do you have any sincere feelings for your Savior? Do you even love God? It seems that the only god you seem to be serving nowadays is this world, instead of the Lord, our Creator, our heavenly Father.

I couldn't agree more again. I have seen this but have never understood this at all.

Whoa...the tone of this conversation is getting a mite too tense...so I think we all should take a break from this thread for about a week so everyone can calm down.

It looks to me like tj is being ganged up on because some don't like what he has to say. There is no need for this kind of childishness here. I don't care what you guys are talking about...it is wrong for you to be calling people names and being disrespectful of people. And while it is my opinion that you are wrong in this....it's my judgement call as I co-admin this forum. So behave yourselves gentlemen...ALL of you.

I actually think the best thing to do is to lock this thread cause...more discussion will lead to more dissension and the family atmosphere here will be gone...and that will be a sad day.

I'm beginning to agree with that idea. I didn't before but now it looks like nothing good is coming out of this thread.
I just wonder if locking the thread will stop the religious discussion though? It may just move it somewhere else which will defeat the purpose of locking the thread.
Maybe we should just all ignore this thread.

Well, I have presented this option before. So, it is a possibility. But I actually had faith that people could control themselves.
I think it is time to lock the thread for a bit...perhaps without it, people will learn they cannot come in here and be abusive to people. Just because someone says something you don't like or agree with, doesn't mean that person deserves your judgement about their beliefs.
Sorry folks, but u know how it is...a few can ruin it for everyone.
